Great day - could have well gone the other way by 5-8% .Great port in a storm this will be Francis might come good.
Ahh stop Lads there is all ways one - Very funny .
I was actually looking at the old BCP:LIS I made a killing during the last down turn only to get too carried away and lost the run of myself.
FKIR - It’s holding up very well to be honest - has been well tested .This might be the new bottom. GLA and the best of luck
Radar !! The Caviar and Champagne are long gone - I am still kicking myself for not bolting for the door when this share hit the 37c - I previously did nothing and checked in frequently .Things have changed Now - I am looking to recoup my loses ( ahem ,very large amount ) And see what future( if any ) is left for FKIR . Hope Your Well and Diversification?
My opinion FWIW is that the next 3 weeks will be very challenging due to uncertainty - This Share reacts to uncertainty, I wouldn’t be surprised if it falls back to 1.50 /1.60 with all the head winds currently out there - I’ll be booking a trade at 1.55 and expect 1.90 before Christmas and start the whole process again - that Is the only way to make money ATM having invested heavily for the long term previously - I intend to make use of its uncertainty in the short term
Hi Torquay , That’s funny - I keep saying I’ll cash it In too !! I have such a bad average at €5 , to be honest It’s a sizeable amount that forms part of my pension - I could pull it all now at a big loss ,stick it on the big guns ( Apple , Amazon FB )and over time ( mines 20 years + before I retire ) I would get my money back and bit more I’d say .
Or Just leave the paper work in the bottom draw ,delete the apps cancel my Bloomberg and FT and get into cultivating bees !! Check on when I need it
I got hit hard with Ryan Air & CHR to name a few
GLA
There is loads more to come ( uncertainty) long term 5-10 years your see €5 .Before that and definitely the next 12 months the bottom will be 75-85c and Max €2 IMO GLA
Argentina a mess and BTW Blackrock hold a lot of Argentine bonds, 370,000 Americans never paid their credit card minimum payment last month that’s just the start , Big bank losses for next 12 months ,it will effect all investor sentiment regardless what nation
I don’t know if she has it to be honest- time will tell , she’s been useless in the recent boom , doesn’t bode well for this crisis , this down turn will be driven by commercial fatalities -SMES, not residential defaults .IMO
Me too - and Hopefully Apple pay

Yes - and BLRK increase holding again , would they be working on behalf of another institution ?
John ,would I be right in my presumption that the 155 hit for bond and stock market is a once off ?
Bank of Ireland slid into a loss in the first quarter as the Covid-19 crisis led to the group taking a €266 million loan impairment charge and racking up an additional €155 million hit as stock and bond market volatility affected its wealth and insurance business and financial assets.
The combined €421 million impact resulted in the bank posting an underlying pre-tax loss of €235 million for the quarter, it said in a trading update on Monday.
I honestly thought would be worse - I expected 300- 350 for loan impairment
Over 6% now
Blackrock back in , holding over 5% now - IMO Looking for short term value.
Richie Boucher had just announced his retirement for later this year . Excellent news - Growth strategy needed
