Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc, the AIM quoted UK, Ireland and West Africa focused oil and gas exploration, development and production company, is pleased to announce, further to its announcement of 30 January 2026, that it has received notification from the Irish Government's Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment that the Minister has given his consent to extend the Phase 1 of FEL 4/19 to 31 January 2028. The Company intends to use the extension to carry out further technical studies and allow more time to secure a partner to advance development of the licence.

Whilst nowhere near notifiable levels I think there are quite a few PI's with substantial holdings. Who knows this company could essentially be owned by a few hundred individuals.

IMHO your concept is valid but I think your numbers are far too optimistic. But let's fantasise that PRD could return £25M per annum in dividends at some point in the future with 1 billion shares in issue. That's 2.5 pence per share per year for a one off purchase price of 3.3 pence.

I'd argue that the gas price for the next 30 years is far more relevant than the price over the last 30 days.

When I invested in ZPHR a few years back I did so on the basis that it represented an interesting oil play. I was subsequently doubtful (but remained invested) following the high gas yields encountered in 16-2 and 36-2R. However with 2026 eyes this may have been somewhat serendipitous should one believe in the outlook for natural gas. The one thing that I have little doubt about is that with appropriate completion that these wells are likely to produce gas at very high rates for onshore US with a nice NGL cherry on top.

And IMHO there is still blue sky potential in the overlying reservoirs so I hope there will be an opportunity to test these in the not too distance future. As it stands my glass is 3/4 full.
