Amigo Resources PLC (LSE: AMGO) is pleased to announce that it has entered into subscription agreements with existing and new investors to raise total gross proceeds of £3,073,634.87

'Entered into subscription agreements' means investors have contractually agreed to subscribe for the shares and the company has effectively secured the funding...... But the shares still need formal admission before trading begins.

Anyone expecting a sky-high share price may need to accept that capital raises and dilution are part of building a mining company.. from the ground up.

Licences, exploration, drilling, infrastructure and expansion all require funding long before any proper revenue arrives. The key thing is whether the money being raised is creating more long-term value, over short-term dilution costs shareholders... and personally I believe it is.

Tbh, I’d be more worried if they weren’t raising capital at this stage, because none of this progresses without proper funding behind it. I remember the groans around the 0.3p raise and dilution only a few months ago... which makes today’s £3m raise at 2.2p feel like a very different proposition to me.

In other words...Amigo’s not only hunting minerals, it’s also aiming to become a company that actually processes and extracts the value from them as well!

Hi Josh, It's only research from Google, Bloomberg, Reuters and the relevant newswires etc...and the majority of it leads back to TerraCom and the transformation that took place there with CR in charge. To me it shows there are already established relationships in this sector, experience operating in Africa, albeit South Africa, and experience growing, improving and streamlining a mining businesses. Those things are absolutely priceless when it comes to trying to replicate a successful model.

I don't think people should underestimate how important relationships are when it comes to developing a business like this. Having the right people around you, with experience in the right countries and sectors etc etc. Everyone has to do their own research of course, but from what I've seen, read and heard so far, I'm personally very happy to sit and wait to see what the current team can deliver.

As most of us agree this isn't an overnight process, but from where the company is today, I genuinely believe the potential outcome could be absolutely huge if execution is right.

Look at what's been achieved with Amigo Resources over the last nine months. Look where the share price was. Look what the outlook was...Now compare that with what is actually happening now. Nine months ago this was a completely different proposition. The company has now moved into Tanzanian gold projects, secured operational agreements, progressed licensing, mobilised teams on site.....and started moving towards production.

People complaining daily because the share price is not already much are missing the bigger picture entirely imo.

This is not somebody opening a takeaway and selling pizzas next week. This is building mining operations in Africa. That involves licences, infrastructure, geology, drilling, processing, logistics, regulation and capital deployment.

If you're panicking that the sp isn't already 25p , you probably won't stay around long enough to see the full potential... IF the company executes the way I believe it can. Have a proper look into CR, he's not here to play games, and that takes TIME!! GLA AMGO26

It moved from 0.002p to 3.5/4p in the last 8 months to be fair.

Anything positive comes out ...and it's moving regardless of the ticker code.

I've been blown away by the speed at which C.R has begun operating and building this business. We are obviously still waiting for the Kabete update, and I’ve personally been wondering whether the March 26 announcement, expecting approximately 5 kilos of gold production, has actually been far more successful than initially anticipated.

The company clearly has funding behind it, but the pace at which things have moved, has me thinking whether the early results are much stronger than initially expected. Only my thoughts and opinions of course, but I too can’t wait for the much-anticipated RNS regarding Kabete!!

With a current mkt cap of circa £30-35m the long term potential upside is huge.

A V GOOD update imo .. Boots on the ground tick, Gov't granted licences tick... and confirmed gold mineralisation at depth, tick!

100% agree with Hightower. Building an African mining business from scratch isn’t something that delivers overnight, it’s a steady, staged process that takes time to get right.

I fully back C.R in getting this done.... It’s the groundwork being put in place now that will create the real long-term value.

Pricing on this board is very basic at best. It simply compares yesterday’s last traded price (2.5) with today’s mid (2.75), which currently gives a 10% increase.

If you believe what The AK Corp website says about his background, he's got form. From what I've seen/read of Mr Ransley, I doubt he suffers fools gladly!
