I agree with Shakey, a major shareholder and that is Gynia /Ajay Kalsi would muck about with piddling amounts-they have circa 140m shares. In addition, as detailed in the accounts (Grant Thornton are Auditors), Gynia/Kalsi have signed an Agreement not to influence Indus, as a major shareholder, whilst they own 30% or more. A greater risk would be a dilution via a placing with the major shareholder increasing their holding. The value here relies on the renewal of the PSC (expired 24th Sept) which in turn would be followed by the renewal of the GSPA with GAIL, which expired on 30th Sept. As GAIL are the sole customer for our gas these events are material to the value of the company. Whilst us PIs will lose if these events don't happen there are others who would lose vastly more. I'm willing to ride this risk so bought some more today in the hope I'm not wrong.

Yes but you have missed an important point, the parent company's debt is secondary to the external lenders, ie bank and bond debt. They can do nothing without the external lenders approval and they will want all their money, including lost interest, fees etc first. The company has done nothing in the past to suggest a shareholder stitch up and lets hope that continues.

Who knows with this share, so volatile. For me its about the longer term goal of a return to a realistic P/E and Mcap,

Would any PIs put any more money into this shambles. All they now have is 1 potential drug aimed at high risk patients. I have effectively written off my investment here and as its current value is so small I can't even be bothered to sell.

Still trading at about a P/E of 1. Company is in a bit of a lull at the mo. The statement made it cleat the extension is expected but the last sentence re a potential money raise of some description is a slight worry. Most likely to be debt as the major shareholder wont want to se a dilution.

According to the June24 accounts net debt was £357m (bank £288m, lease liabilities £182m less cash £111m).

What a surprise, opens down will probably finish up but the spread dampens any enthusiasm to trade.

With its massive swings, wide spreads and low float this is a very tricky share to day trade. Fingers crossed that in the mid/longer term this will re-rate to where it should logically be.

I've just received this reply from the company re no. of issued shares. The number of shares in issue is 5,905,710,763.

There doesn't seem to be any reason why INDI don't want to continue as they have applied for the extension. As I have commented on previously there is provision in the licence for a revision of terms but this is largely in favour of the operator if the costs of extraction increase as the well becomes depleted. Whether the co. is trying to re-negotiate I have no idea, my best guess is this is just Indian bureaucracy. In the meantime the well is still in operation despite the current licence term ending.

Did this news take the BoD by surprise! Otherwise surely they should have waited until the news was out to exercise a fund raise. If not the BoD have got some awkward questions to answer.

Yep but most PIs don't use DMA themselves. I think that AIM is more susceptible to MM influence.

That is in essence correct, however, it is the MMs that determine the spread and sp. It does seem for some shares the MMs 'manage' both for whatever reason, whether that is to ensure their profitability, which is fair, or to 'help' certain shareholders, as some people argue, which would be unfair.

Roger65, you have quoted just what suits your opinion and not what she said following. With or without LB saying further finance would be necessary we all knew that. She goes on to say that the co. will be looking at project financing via debt, bank or bonds. This does preclude further placings, which I have said previously, but the licence, which requires a clear viability statement, if granted gives alternative options to just equity raise which has been necessary to date. I tend to the view that another equity raise is not required in the near term.
