hmm interesting. Im used to treading oil and gas where COS is very low, so this is new to me but sounds promising. Im by no means interested in holding for a long time but a couple of months wont hurt with a small position through the drill.

re solg, yes im in there with a small sum in expectation of some drilling hype! I like the lack of resistance for big jumps, would ideally like to see a new high soon though to break out of the current triangle! still, 16p will do me! :-) what is your opinion on their chance of finding some decent CU and Gold deposits?

FP, Cheers, yes looks like we could have a retest of the last support at 14820 ish so will look to close then for 120pips. Only playing with tiny sums but pays for the weekend! haha

Morning FP, i have shorted the down after the fail to break back through the 15050 resistance on the 5 min chart. paying off nicely at the moment, will close position during todays trading with a stop at 15010 in case she takes off.

looking more like a wedge now. target bottom of wedge = 15025

morning farmer, whats your view on the dow at the moment? is it worth a short on a breach of 15050? target 14900 ish...

Thanks Farmer, yes im certainly going to start small. £1 a point etc just to get use to it, and certainly wont hold anything over night :-). Ive done that before and its not good for the social life/blood pressure haha.

Morning Farmerparmer, thanks for the advice, think I will stick with the DOW then as you say. Yes the macro awareness and a strategically placed stop seems key here as the swings can be ruthlessly fast! I will continue to watch for a few weeks to get use to the price movements and test my TA on indices. Thanks again... p.s on a stock level, have you seen the descending wedge on GKP? breakout could be soon near 180p.

Afternoon all, I have decided to look at spread betting FX/Indices etc... I have only S/B'd stocks until now, however I was wondering if anyone would care to share any tips i.e. what currency/index is the most user friendly? I think (as with stocks) its about learning from a couple and knowing their movements very well, rather than trading everything. so thats my plan. I have been trading (without money) the dow today using the 5 and 30 minute charts and quite like it. Any advice would be great. thanks Rich
