Snooty - I agree. Just pointing out that even if people were worried about it.....there's actually nothing to worry about and the price hasn't really dropped!

FCT hasn't even crashed really. It had a momentary blip. It's currently at $7.
February and March it was around $6.
It's more stable than most crypto's you'll see in any listing!

When you say nobody else is buying that's demonstrably not true.
There's a few more sells than buys today but the sum total of all today's trading is less than 5 grand! It's chicken feed.
I do wish people would stop worrying about nothing!

I imagine they're not itching to do anything.
There's just small piddly PI trades at the moment, and with the recent large sell(s) at the lows, I imagine their coffers are well stocked and, if anything, it would suit them to rise now.
Just need PI's to stop selling at the lows and buy instead now.
I wasn't going to increase my position in this (as I want to in another stock) but I might have to change that view if prices become even sillier!

chilston - I still don't get your point. You say you don't see scale and it hasn't been widely adopted by everyone yet.......of course it hasn't. It's an emerging technology and a fledgling company. If it had been widely adopted by everyone already and they were all using Factom already it would be a billion/trillion dollar company and FFWD wouldn't have a stake in it.

Factom is arguably the single most "scalable" thing in the portfolio. The blockchain technology they're working on could have applications in bloody everything! The returns from that IF it goes well could dwarf everything else massively.

Of course barwick - it's inevitably a choice.
Personally I think a buyback at these prices would have a higher chance of delivering both a near and long term return compared to another/increased investment in something.
I'd say a buy-back is less likely though (don't know off the top of my head what their free cash situation is overall).

A buyback below 10p would be a logical step.
I know BoDs always see megabucks longer term opportunities as a better option generally.
However in this instance a buy-back would almost certainly not only result in a nearly 30% SP rise, in the near term, it would also result in higher returns from the rest of the existing portfolio in future, if any success is had.
It would make a lot of sense and be a good use of cash imo.
Don't think it's particularly likely but we can hope.

The cost includes electricity if that's the question (but not depreciation of the mining assets).
I'm assuming the depreciation is the reason they're still making a big net loss but the various accounts aren't very detailed so can't tell easily.

I largely agree with all of that Snooty. Whilst obviously I think there has been a larger seller too. This doesn't negate anything you said - in fact it just serves to add fuel to the fire of much of what you describe.

The other possibility is what appears to be the larger seller is one or more of the spread companies, not doing it for themselves obviously, but dumping blocks equating to the balance of one or more of their client positions that are closed out (which in a bearish market could easily not be deliberate on their part of their punters, as they get pressured for margin, and forced to close out, whether because of the fall here, or because of falls in positions on all their other shares).

It's one thing for dodgy AIM to see buying before news.
It's another for the directors to be doing the buying themselves when in possession of news.
The latter would be much more obvious and even the crap enforcement of AIM/market rules would likely see them done for that.
The closed-period stuff doesn't interest me. I've heard that said so many times on AIM shares and it's nearly always just an excuse.

They also hold plenty of shares already anyway.
I think it's a whole lot simpler and you've simply had a larger seller (who's hopefully now done but you never know).
Nothing more or less exciting than that.
And yes Snooty, buying just before releasing lots of information material enough to move the price would be insider dealing, and obviously illegal.
