XFilter mentioned in programme on Radio 4 as being the only one of three waste water filters tested to be actually any good. The downside is as we all know it's not in commercial production!
Could it be to do with Funding Circle reducing the target returns that lenders like myself are expected to get. It's been a downward spiral over the last 12 months for me so decided to pull the lending in one of my two accounts to put into high yield investment trusts.
Nearly sold out in the last few days as was getting impatient through lack of news. Thanks Doughpea1 for your input here and your optimism stopped me from selling. Will try not to panic in future as has cost me in the past.
Kier's bid is a fair bit above Costain's so that a bidding war is nipped in the bud IMHV, but if Costain do decide to trump Kier's bid having already had an 'agreed' bid watch Costain's share price tumble. The market already thinks Kier are overpaying.
The market has obviously noted money spent faster than anticipated and reacting negatively this morning. http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?id=201209280700193826N
This is the biggest rise I can remember since buying 10 months ago @31p. So still down but now looks very interesting.
Wasn't expecting this, news soon? Maybe up because small biotechs enjoying big rises lately.
Is due to start from wells in Vietnam this year, so I'm holding. However, on the exploration side they have lost their touch with two dry wells in the DRC and currently drilling their 3rd, it was all supposed to be a company changer. If I was not holding I definitely wouldn't be buying and there are much better oilers out there. GL
I agree fromagefray, think they bottomed out yesterday. The half year results are due soon, bought @550p.
There's a report on iii saying that $3bn is going to be needed to develop SC72, but that they should recover that money. All I see at the moment is uncertainty, the Chinese are disputing the ownership of Reed Bank and say it is part of the Spratlys group of islands. Also, when they start raising money the company might ignore the pi's and issue new shares to the main shareholders leaving the pi's high and dry. The SP is almost back to where it started pre- SC72 award having originally doubled. Very tempted to have a punt though.
enlighten me on the low valuation? Last October the Carnegie stake they got was supposedly worth £30m, three times their current market value.
There was a very large buy from Eurogold back in Oct last year, I believe at a higher share price than now. Not much of an answer I know.
The £8.6m from the previous oo was for phase ii trials on cogane. Now the £25m is for further trials on cogane, and what of hoodia and myogane SFA me thinks! Are they now an all or nothing company? I'm beginning to regret this investment, but I'm not going to throw in the towel just yet.
There was an oo in March 2008 at 22p to raise £8.6m, so now we have a further oo at 10p to raise £25m. Assuming they raise the whole amount and the cash burn is the same, the £25m would last about 5 years. Plenty of patience is required investing in biotechs, Phytopharm is a poor company with perhaps a very good drug to be (or maybe not). I am going to pass on this oo and see what happens in the new year, if the share price goes down to nearer 5p I may buy a few more. I refuse to finance Phytopharm any further, they are just one giant sponge.
CCT got a stock of hamsters selling on their website today. Bad news, they ran out before the end of the day. More, much much more needed Character, get a GRRRRRRRRIP!!!!!
the hamsters on Ebay appears to be profitable for individuals as Argos has no stock. CCT could be making a mint, but I go back to their track record which stinks!
I've held shares through thick and thin, should have got out at somewhere near £2 and then watched them with dismay as they crashed to 25p. The toy range does look good for this christmas. Also as a long term holder It would be good to know their longer term prospects, as history tells us they have a cycle of boom and bust.
When Gulfsands and Emerald energy drilled their first well in Syria over 2 years ago, results were deemed inconclusive and the market reacted negatively and GPX's share price crashed. Ultimately the Syrian wells are highly productive and GPX's share price is now 3 times higher post crash. Just like Hardy's current drilling a lot was expected pre-drill as they gave indications to the potential of the block. I'm not saying the outcome will be the same, but it could be before the end of drilling on the block.
The company has managed to make great use of my money from the rights issue last year. This company has been threatening to do something for five years or more, but I still have a lingering doubt having been let down so many times. I have to say out of all the chinks of light, this appears to be the brightest.
is what WMH will be hoping for like yesterdays Burnley win. They need results going in their favour this Autumn otherwise the SP stays depressed.
