I think if this deal happens, boohoo will have a bright future on the long run.
Boohoo wants to widen the range of products and widen the target group what I think will result in more growth as the brands are well-known and just suffer massively from the closure of the high street shops.
So Boohoo is picking the cherries here.
Furthermore many other retailers sell these brands too (Asos, next etc.) so boohoo will automatically profit from their distribution channels.
What consequences do you think this deal (if it becomes reality) will have?
Happy to hear your points of view.
I also don't know what to think about this..
I mean Mahmoud Kamani is a BILLIONAIRE (1000*1 Million)...last time he bought 5 million shares and now 300 thousand??
Seems not too sure...
I also don't get it..why the big four "don't want to touch boohoo"? And why everybody supposes that then something really bad must be within the company? It makes no sense. Let's assume boohoo lied about everything and only made 2 pennys a year what would be the problem for the auditors? I mean they just do their job and if they find fraud they report it. That's even a good thing if they discover something like this, isn't it??
"The fast-fashion retailer Boohoo has been selling clothes made by at least 18 factories in Leicester that audits say have failed to prove they pay the minimum wage to workers, a Guardian investigation has found"
Are there now 18 factories, who paid below minimum wage and boohoo supposedly didn't know off?
And is it officially proven?
Because 18 seems a lot...
Where is the guy who always said that? :D
Fly my little monkeys fly...
Hahaha..good one, mate ;-)
I think because of the tensions between US and China and because of the soon outcoming audit results some scared lil people took their profits and left the game. But in the long term (and by that I mean some weeks) this will be at 2,80-2,90 pound at least..the first barrier to be tested will then be 300 Pence. Why? Still growing revenues, CEO bought in and even more publicity through the "scandals" (that will soon be turned around to positive news), which will reduce their marketing costs and thus enlarge profits.
I also bought some more shares at 2,8 Euros.. I see it at least at 3,20€ (2,90 pound) in some days/weeks.
It was up to 3,03€ today in the morning and fell drastically because of the profit takers to 2,82€..my heart stood still for a quick moment...
I really kind of didn't expect such a quick recovery..You're really good guys..
Ok thank you for these words...I needed them to build up some confidence..some friends say no don't risk it who knows what results there will be after the ethical audit in July..what if there will be more bad news and **** storms and so on..I only have 800 shares but it's a lot for a student like myself :D
Guys, after my emergency sell last friday I reentered the game today in the morning... bought at 2,50 Euros..now it is round about 2,90€ (2,62 pound) in the after hours sale..you think this will go up to 3 pound? Or will the 3 Euro be a psychological barrier?

Guys I do not have premium access, can sb tell if the news here is really new and relevant?
Guys haha do you really still care about course targets of banks? You know that airbus has course targets up to 100€ and it is at 65 and the ceo says it will need 3 years till they are back to where they were...don't know I wouldn't believe them always think with your own brain and follow through with your strategy. These banks might always be interested in you buying and them then selling.
well that's one of the two options I mentioned in my post..will have an impact on their wins and a little on their fast fashion business but not too much of an impact..the reputation is much more important to guarantee it's success
In 15min nasdaq will be open. Let's see what the american people think about all this :D
Amazon has no equal competitor..Boohoo may be replaced by Zalando (or ASOS who managed to quickly recover it's reputation). But still I am convinced that boohoo will recover but it might take a while. But I will be very happy for other counter arguments.
If they move the production to turkey (10 days shipping) they most likely will be able to keep the prices low but become a little slower when it comes to reacting to trends (Shipping at least 10 days).
If they pay everybody the minimum wage and they really have built their business model on the sweatshops (what is actually quite possible) then their product prices must go up and it won't be so cheap anymore. Furthermore they still position themselves as not guilty and claim that they didn't know of any of these conditions (eventhough there are photos of them partying together xD). If there will be somehow proven that they knew all of it there will be even bigger **** storms coming and the share price might go down + fines + boycotts. Then the stock price could really go to 1,6. They then will admit and apologize for everything and swear to never do this again join the ethical committee and rebuild their reputation. Social media stars will also quickly change their attitude --> it will go up. But it still will be either not so cheap anymore or not so fast (what it doesn't have to be). I think on the long run this company will survive but there maybe some dips and you need to be able to hold your breath/calm your nerves :D
The political trend seems really to go more to the left/green sector.. who knows how a company with the reputation of a predatory capitalist will position itself in such a world. I mean ofc it's all hypocritical as every one still drinks coffee, eats chocolate and uses IPhones made by chinese workers in 16hour working shifts at the assembly line but nobody cares as long as it is far away. When you do this **** in a country full of "beautiful western country" you are a monster and must perish.. It really all depends on boohoos PR they need to join this ethical committee..
No offence, but as a poster below said, if the influencers turn their back on boohoo and make their stuff"not cool" it could even be the end for the company --> no sales. So I don't wanna discourage anybody I also think that it has a lot of potential but we are very dependent on how good boohoos PR is. If they make the wrong moves now it would be very bad. Social media can work very effectively in but also against your favours.
