Does anyone have any inside info on the new set up?

I find it amazing that they've been allowed to use assets like the furnaces after the previous company was placed in administration.

How long do people think this will last?

Pretty much everything Billyfish1 has said lines up with what I've heard, He was clearly an ex employee there.

A number of office staff were also laid off on Monday, It's good to hear a prospective buyer visiting the place but I fear that it's too late for the current employees.

I suspect that the company will fold after the obligatory 45 day consultation period is concluded mid April.

I hope I'm wrong.

A full shift are to be on layoff for a full month starting next week, subsequent shifts will be also laid off for a month at a time and will only receive statutory layoff pay of £39 x5 days =£195 for the full month. With promises to work with the union regarding voluntary redundancy etc.

This measure is clearly designed to force the workforce out due to imposing financial pressure, ( resign and look for new jobs) & exempt them from paying out redundancies.

A particularly distasteful way of treating a loyal workforce that have lost jobs through no fault of their own.

I've heard management were totally unqualified/uninterested/unable to do their jobs in an effective manner.

Essentially, production had been left to the employees on the shop floor to turn around the work while overpaid management were hiding in office cabins printing out meaningless graphs instead of handling any arising issues.

Ultimately, this leads to low morale and increased NCRs. They never arrested the problem at source and have paid the price.

As for the UN, I am an investor myself and have recently found this page and thought others should know.

I'm in close contact with an employee there and they say that they have been instructed to produce around 1300 Tesla rotors this month.

It seems that they are trying to resurrect the OEM Tesla contract - Whether there are to be more than the 1300 is anyone's guess at the moment.
