Yes, but Russian situation has hit the market, I still have faith in SLP being a company with no debt, makes it excellent stock to hold especially with interest rates going up and the affect on companies who have debt and their repayments going up, surely can only benefit well run companies like SLP. Will try to log on to the meeting today at 12pm today to listen to the results announced yesterday.
SLP I first purchased back around year ago and it has reached a high of 150 I believe and spent a good deal of time around 120 ish mark before general decline from mid summer mark. On various forums SLP was marked as super stock, and to be fair has paid out some good dividends, and I also took some profits and brought back in the dip. One thing SLP has taught me going against popular advice, is holding onto stock is not always best advice. I am currently sat on paper loss, but feel SLP surely will go up once new car sales growth kicks in again after chip issue eases. The thing I like is lack of debt. My other holdings are in green today and hopefully this will move up soon. The one thing none of us really know is, should I buy, hold or sell. Good luck all. Learning never stops.
I have topped up on some more of these today and reduced my average cost per share from 99 down to 92. The main thing I feel is there is no debt in the company.
looks like it will be below 314 at close. I purchsed back in at 322 to early oh well onwards and upwards tomorrow.
Quady, agree with your sentiments, I hold fair sized holding and hoped for more gain by now, read that company is strong and has potential for greater things but keeps bubbling between 8-7pence per share. to think it was valued at 12pence not too long back makes me feel that it must move up soon here is hoping anyway....keep faith Richard
Share Trades are again showing as sales when on another platform the trade is shown as buy for larger value sell on here. I presume the other platform is right as the price is up which would suggest buy rather than sale, why should info be inaccurate?
Chris211 have to agree with you, fed announcement on QE has had overall effect, but seems the news expected in June for posative news doesn't seem to have materialised, sure the Chinese situation doesn't help either, but my view is good company where price was 12p only 18 months back can't really dive to 6p unless there is some serious news us small investors are unaware of, time hold nerve and soon be back to 8p sure of it
Whats going on with all selling?
In simple terms was the news OK, can't seem to find much info other than all proposals were agreed by show hands.
Chris211 after week now think may be while, the current economic news does not help either. Needs those with investment in share to hold nerve when small rises, not bail out first opportunity.
Um, wondered why the stock SP dipped but got good price to top up before back to 8.00 for ask price, just need some good news at the AGM in June fingers crossed
As always thanks for the useful response appreciated.
Nice to see the spread is bit closer bid to ask price than has been at 0.20 bit more sensible as I've seen it much larger difference. What I don't under stand is how the bid price dropped by 0.09 and the SP went up 0.05. Some of the share trades in red shown as sales again seem to me to be more like purchases due to the price. GLA lets hope the share moves upwards and those thinking of selling hold on to allow for its true potential.
Del, I recall mention that L & G messed up with purchase presume of FTO shares, can you just summarise fully what happened. Regards
Pleased to see upward movement but not going to count the chickens yet. Interesting update from Del44 who is font of knowledge and I'm grateful for the research that is shared by them. I maintain my view that FTO are undervalued, and think now be good time to add few more shares
I see on the trades there were two high volume, low price sales at 7.81p seems a bit odd! I am sure this has real potential to move upwards on conclusions of the good news mentioned, I personally am positive about the price moving upwards in the next few months.
This share in my opinion is well undervalued, I know the old caveat of you must not use past performance to judge future performance, but this has been steady performer for as long as I can recall, the bid price has gone over 8.0p mark. If I was betting man I would say it would be over 9.0p by next couple months.
Thanks, I still think this is strong buy, be back over 8.00 pence soon.
Ive followed FTO Since half pence when was at school studying economics, just brought few after dipped from Jan high, I can't see why 10pence isn't fair value. Let's hope positive news.
