Scrape pass - a yes vote succeeds and at least you get some return
Pass with distinction - another company comes in and makes a better offer than Anglo.
Fail - no vote leads to admin and zero money back for you.
We've just got to sweat it out!
It's done now, so I'm holding on, this could well go in favour of the 'no' vote, or unlikely higher bid. Have like many others lost a five figure sum on my other tranche of shares sold in SXX and forgot I had the odd 4,000 left. Have said it before, but why haven't the environmentalists, Green Party, Greta Thunberg and the like got behind this project? Then we'd get some publicity. Its made for them.
If you only have a few shares like me, 4000, it costs £40 to sell them. At todays price that gives me £164.If there is a yes vote and I get 5.5 per share I will not pay any thing to deal, giving me £220. So it's a yes vote from me.
If it comes to a vote on an offer by AA, is it one vote per shareholder regardless of how many shares they have? In other words someone holding one share would have an equal say as someone holding say 500,000 shares?
Just down the road in hull last year kcom a share I was heavily in, was subject to a bid...and it went to auction, two parties, share rose from 70 p ish to well over a Pound. Successful bidder got the company and shareholders got a good sale of their shares. Could happen here.
I've got 4000 shares, worth say £200, but to sell now would cost me £40 in fees, I have paper shares. Much easier to cash in, if we do, on the A A OFFER, as no fees payable the, so will be voting yes to accept their offer it goes ahead. Would save myself £40.
Got out and sold up the lot - but then found 4,000 that I'd forgotten and will now keep ( only worth £160). Was in at average of 28 pence. Left with a few quid to have a holiday in Whitby by chance. No flash car or new house for me this time.
Green lobby folk, this product should get your support. I guess that the stock market and big business is probably a no go area if you are a big environmentalist, but put some pressure on funds to back this. Provides jobs, environmentally good as is a natural product, no impact on countryside due to tunnel to docks from mine. Probably a few posters who can put this case better than myself as trying to type in tiny mobile phone
