Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
My experience has been that Australians do genuinely adore the Queen so although it's an unfortunate, im okay with the delay. Previously those that attended have been excellent with sharing their thoughts and notes with those of us that aren't able to make it. I'm hoping that will be the case in early October too.
I'm guessing our partners like Qualcomm are getting results through the door, allowing SEE to consider their market share will be larger than just their previous tier 1 opportunities?
That interview felt like Paul has gotten tired of their work in the shadows strategy, hopefully an indicator of potentially locked in deals rather than a one off interview.
The 'downgrade to 16p' joke on teleg made me chuckle, can't believe they made such a simple mistake!
My only concern with losing them is whether we get commentary from stifel, they seem institutional focused.
Great to see VW come in after all these years of speculating! Let's see what happens to the SP when global markets rebound and omnicron worries fade in H1 2022 (hopefully?)
Well done lth
I check for RNS each morning but somehow missed the one day there was an offer, there will probably be more like me who missed the retail side!
Great to see at this price level though, now let's get after all that business. Looking forward to the retail update.
I've said this before but there's no reason for them to upgrade their target price if it isn't it, track record is binary on whether you hit the target or not.
Hard to upgrade if we aren't anywhere near it and there were no numbers attached to this. Hopeful for guidance from See in next results, at which point they should think about the price target but so should the whole market..
Great news from Shell. Still hoping for a scalable telematic solution to really blow the doors off this segment.. takes time. In the mean time wins like this really establish our credibility.
Does feel like it's been some months since we've had news, it's been a great stock to hold for building Yoda like patience over the years! I won't consider selling until 2023/4 I imagine, that's the plan anyway.
In the meantime Ive added one Galaxy Egg NFT to my moonshot portfolio (mostly SEE) - https://opensea.io/collection/galaxyeggs9999
We live in interesting times!
Incidentally 'follow the incentives' works on this board too. Recently topped up? Will look at everything with a positive bias. Recently sold or missed the top up opportunity? Negative lens on every RNS.
I'm conscious that I do this myself (aka last post) but... if Paul Scott taught me anything when his blog was free - director buys are a positive sign.
Not sure what's wrong with 'if he doesn't keep the share price up he doesn't get his shares'???
That's exactly what we want? Aligned incentives with shareholders. Follow the incentives.
It sends a message to all investors, including retail and institutional holders. Not sure how you can flip director buys on its head as a negative but okay.. there always have to be cynics on the other side of the trade I guess.
Great to see confirmation of Merc after much speculation. Dual sourced seems likely given the chat we have seen on both sides of the fence.
I don't think we will see broker upgrades until results announcements, that's when they will be properly reassessing their models based on the numbers and estimates of cost of capital going forward. We shouldn't expect the target price to change until then.
Hopefully we will see more announcements before that happens.
Very interesting wording..
Would be interesting to build out a tier 1 detailed version of the old classic lewbo chart. S2020 posted something along these lines recently - we seem to be connected to so many tier 1s now.. VS competitors who have one or two?
The waiting game continues but the odds look interesting.
This has been the case for a long long time now. It's quant based screening and this is very much a story stock, the data (And therefore the mapping) won't really change until the revenue starts stepping over the next few years.
I think it's a great development. They've conceded that it's necessary, the debate will evolve to 'how good is it' and to everyone's points below, its basic, can't deal with darkness or sunglasses, might have very slow reaction times, human factors integration is so important. This will lead the conversation towards who does this very well.
Likely to be great publicity for DMS debate, bringing this technology to the fore for Joe public and investors more broadly.
F150 lightning reviews have been very positive so far, order book is growing, that's great for us. I think we should expect short term volatility whilst the chip delays are still a concern but longer term I think we're aligned with the blockbuster seller. Just need more OEMs but that will come with time.
One of the more bizarre days I've seen for price action for SEE, how many years ago did we say that this news story was a matter of WHEN and not IF.
We have Alex Roy driving forward the DMS point on twitter, journalists are picking that up and Mike Levine from Ford is liking what he is saying. It's a potential inflection point for the technology becoming prominent in the public's eye.
I'm just suprised which way it's trading today. Short term noise indeed.
The real scoop for journos when we announce we are involved will be highlighting that both GM and Ford are built using the same underlying algorithms from SEE.
At that point, if the story breaks in a good way, it could go a long way to letting Joe public know about SEE.
So great to see this marketed, ford have done a solid job with the name and attitude I think.
We need to see this out there to heat up the competition, should help bump along the rfqs for those who don't want to be left behind.
The current spec for Hyperion (https://developer.nvidia.com/drive/drive-hyperion) shows a ON Semiconductor camera (On Semi AR0144). Do we have a relationship with ON Semi?
So does OmniVision’s OV2311 replace On Semi AR0144 camera going forward for the DMS in Hyperion..
