as long as coal prices stay high and anr can prove a significant commercial project going this route then they have a decent chance of success imo. this is thermal coal which carries a premium currently $128p/t.

With a thermal price at $128 p/t/ Westfield 800m tonnes approx. then you would think this 'world class' resource will be getting some good interest even at early stage. CNOOC were in before the main activity started so shows the potential albeit a different route.

Westfield alone approx. to hold 800m tonnes, say 100m commercial reserves in this part of the acreage, thermal coal $128, b/e $44. these are big profit margins for any large coal producer. Arckaringa license world class containing 8bn tonnes of coal, 100-500m tonnes commercial quantities is huge and very valuable.

if they get some early bid interest (eg in the next 6 months) then expect others will join the party. however the more they can prove up the higher the price gets as the ceo alluded to. thermal coal is $128 so they need to make sure they can get things done asap and not sit and wait around (like days of old). strike while the irons hot please NL!.

This is also just one part of the license area with more to explore. The CEO also says this is a 'world class' resource and we are now talking thermal coal which is valued higher. As the CEO also states 'the proof is in the eating' this could not be more true. Need to see the board being seriously proactive now, THERE IS ZERO TIME TO WASTE. Now or never!.
