I think I trust everyone... apart from whoever it is that is making trades of < £25.
I wouldn't trust them to look after my cactus; and my cactus can look after itself; I also don't care about it; and I stole it. My cactus has had a hard life, never made any friends, and will be missed by nobody... yet I wouldn't put it in the hands of the sort of pervert who deals 59 shares at a time. What IS that?!
Wow - that's a chunky sell that's just gone through. Our largest single tranche on here for a long while...?? Presumably this was being filled yesterday and explains the continually sliding prices (and thus the avg strike price is not massively relevant to today's price of smaller trades). Did anyone else register a sell going through at 16:30 yesterday? It showed on Google's summary tracker, but not the detailed chart that shows volumes. This often seems to happen with UTs or part-filled orders, but does anyone have more detail?
I also wondered whether this 302k sell means we're waving goodbye to any of our treasured regulars...?
Recording available here: https://www.lsegissuerservices.com/spark/cannabis-capital-markets-forum-2021
(Scroll down past agenda, to just under the bit saying "recording available soon"... it's already up.)
Make sure you aren't operating heavy machinery when watching, though. About 40% is war stories on market regulation.
Nope. LGP came across really well. Everyone else was dull and predictable. Ed came across better than most and did a reasonable pitch, but they were all mostly talking about the wider market than their specific operations (apart from LGP - she was great). There wasn't any news. Only briefest mention of the likes of Northern Leaf (that I picked up on). But it wasn't as big an event as I was expecting. Apparently 250 attendants registered online, and - pffft - 75 in the audience (??)
I think the press release on here today about our investment in LGP will have more impact on volume tomorrow. Trading today was picking up well ahead of the meeting, so I guess we're just slowly onwards and upwards...
Haha - well I love your talking horse reference! (I assumed you were talking about stalking horses, until the penny dropped!)
I just maxed my overdraft and bought another 23k, 2mins before your words of warning. So, with the greatest respect, I hope you're wrong and we see a flurry of new interest this week. (Which I know you also hope for...)
We'll get there! We will re-rate before long, and then my mum will take us all to Pizza Hut as a treat, (if we behave ourselves). And as for a hollow win, was it the Mouldy Peaches who sang:
There’s no such thing as a harmless joke
There’s no such thing as a gentle toke
There’s no such thing as a hollow win
Who-o-o is bought in? Who-o-o is bought in?
Forum doesn't start until 4pm today, but I would expect to see some big new buyers taking an interest in SEED today. Maybe in time for market close, but more likely with some large orders to be filled tomorrow.
In my humble opinion only, anyone with liquidity / other stocks they can sell... would be MAD not buy in at < 9p today. Pretty soon, everyone's going to know about our secret stash of investments that are underpriced by 30%... and which are getting more underpriced by the day, as they all start to flourish. GLA.
I can't imagine what it must be like to have those responsibilities, but I want to reinforce the opinion I've expressed here several times before: I think ODonnell is excellent and a valuable member of the BB.
(And the comments about charities made me chuckle. I'm between contracts at the moment, so have been doing the accounts and governance work for a charity that brings free audiobook readers to patients in hospitals recovering from ICU; a group of 100 local artists who open their home studios for a fortnight in the summer; and a society for tulip exhibitors... whilst looking in at this board!)
I actually giggled at the 5k buy yesterday that went through at 8.48 in the middle of the 8.50s... after the MMs had whinged to AJ Bell the day before! I think they might have disadvantaged themselves.
Does anyone want to play Truth or Dare today? Dare = put in an order for more than 5k shares. Truth = say why not...!
I don't understand how the MMs could be "disadvantaged". I mean... couldn't they have just calculated what they would have charged, and recouped this by upping the Ask...?? What have I missed? (Is that just against regulation??)
The paranoia is that if there's any sense of smoke and mirrors being used, it's a really bad sign. Like... catching the first mouse you've seen in a house. You don't think, well it was only the one, everything's fine now.
So, even though I think it's extremely unlikely, Longy's right to call out anything that looks off. If SEED are not actually making site visits, but periodically posting updates so it looks like they're busy - they need to be less sloppy about it! I don't think that's the case, but this BB does often criticise SEED for not being in the public eye enough. If they're trying to fake the clout they have with clients, or their engagement with their investments, it ain't a good sign.
I didn't get the Bangkok reference, though. (An old tweet of Alfredo's?)
Ta Mata d'or, you're right! I might be rich in the future, so they should still be inviting me to their parties.
Chrystal were very keen to have a private conversation with me, after I put in for Northern Leaf. But, so that they didn't get unduly excited, I told them: "with bonuses and holiday sell-back, I've just scraped over the earnings levels for HNWI in the last couple of years; before that I worked for charities and was skint. I've got £10k in Northern Leaf (despite applying for £30k) and £40k in FFWD - which I think is at a better discount than investing directly in Yooma - so you'd need to convince me that you've got something more attractive than FFWD in an ISA".
Not heard a peep since then. When I applied to dial in to the forum, I got an automated "thanks for applying, but... (and you can almost hear them sucking their teeth)... it might be a bit too busy for the likes of you - we'll let you know". That isn't verbatim. I might just need some nicotine in me - I'm usually an advocate of Chrystal.
Oh! And I see the O'Donnells are to the rescue anyway. (Is it OK that I think of you like parent figures, O'Donnells...?)
