This is a 10m start for the year.Looking at H2 2020 results we should be looking at 40m profit for the full year, maybe more if the market rebounds strongly. Using the logic fro Zeus yesterday the sp should move to 60p before the sumner and I anticipate 80p before the YE.

On the other hand if there is a takeover brewing the buyer would need to move soon. Either way short term outlook for LOOK SP is v positive

Reporting positive market and prices in their RNS this morning.

I also noted their far more bullish RNS and communication style. Not sure if thats a positive or a negative but whichever way you look at it GEM with their asset and the diamond market outlook over the next couple fo years should be at least 50% higher the where it is trading. The lack of interest here is really quite strange....

The RNS states ' The net book value of freehold and leasehold properties of £313.7m (equivalent to 80.4p per share) at the end of the Period".

Book blue and market value are 2 different things and I agree the market value is highly likely to be less than the book value today.

Anyway I think its moot point relative to the SP other than if Lookers is being taken over or they plan a sale and leaseback. I can own a house that I rent but of the rental income is less than the running costs I'll soon be bust.

Go back through the RNSs and read. They had no offers for the business so this was the least worst option for the bond holders. Take a haircut, continue to be paid on what’s left and hope the equity is eventually worth something.

He is increasing his stake ffs. How old he is is irrelevant. How old his advisors are is more relevant .

If you look back further you can see his buys at a far higher price so I think his average, at least in terms of the Lookers plc transaction is a lot higher than 55p.

My speculative thoughts are he can get his money back and more by taking it out with some banks and then break it up. He is probably thinking if he doesn't do it then someone else will.

With cash in the bank and productivity of the mine in no doubt the SP shouldn't be dependant on big stones turning up. Yes I agree its a positive but the reason the SP is not moving is related to a distrust that shareholders will see any of the cash that is being built up coming back to them.

Cash in the company is only good for the SP if there is an intention to return it to shareholders or invest it for future earnings. Spending io on nice offices or being kind to frogs isn't going to move the SP.

If there is no mention of shareholder returns in the results I can see a rush for the door here. You see a bit of that this morning
