Interesting research paper, five years old but plenty of more recent articles out there.
there was an old man called Pat Plunkett
who went on an African junket
he took along ToR
but oh what a bore
now he's sorry he ever thunket
an T seems to be the only properly functioning group in this situation, the govt dept is not fit for purpose, Pvr had previous experience of their incompetence in 2013 when a transposition error by the dept in its implementation of the EIA directive was the reason for Pvrs decision to surrender the licence for the Dublin bay, Pvr have now allowed this situation to occur again and some here see it as a "masterstroke".
I could only see it as such if it has been confected by Pvr as a means to strangle Logp financially,
The action is between An T and the Govt dept Pvr had the legal right to proceed with the survey which was scheduled to take 25 days, the news item says
"The new application means that instead of a potentially lengthy wait for the High Court to rule"
why couldnt Pvr just carry out the survey whilst this bs was played out in the background, it could have been done and dusted by the time any decision was reached.
If an T could see fault in the process by which permission for the well site survey operations had been granted by the Minister the obvious question is why could Pvr not also see it.
ToR needs tto explain this ludicrous decision a cynic would say he draws his salary whatever soab
The Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport has been advised that Gardline will carry
out a seabed, shallow geophysical and environmental baseline site survey on behalf of
Exola DAC Limited on licence SEL 1/11 called ‘Barryroe’ which is located in the North Celtic
Sea, approximately 50 kilometres south of Cork port.
The project is scheduled to begin in late November 2018,
as pvr are due to survey the area shortley an t are hopefully pissing into the wind with this challenge.
i think crude being down almost 5% might be a factor!
et wants a piece of the action lol
