Shares in an isa are treated the same and are subject to IHT.
Once it has a lot more exposure in US than it has here, I believe it would be advantageous.
The last thing that I want is that for the share to be quoted on NASDAQ! But I see it coming. Once things have stabilised there could be a 1for 100 consolidation and then all systems go for quotation in US. There would be no need for de-listing from AIM but it would no longer qualify for IHT exemption - not something you young things are worried about. It would cause a forced sale on my part to re-invest in there which will qualify for the 40% relief.
Has anyone seen any positive reporting re merger? For the first time MVR was mentioned in today’s Telegraph but it was a pathetic piece with inaccuracies.
The trades reported by LSE are totally unreliable. Over the last few weeks I have made three £10K purchases and each has been recorded as a sell.
I initially thought the timing of the performance was ill judged but on second thoughts it might be inspired! Minimum numbers for the freebie means those wanting to get involved will have to pay.
For a third time in a row my purchases have been wrongly reported. Bought 250000 this morning and is shown as a sell.
It was good that a financial publication caused a 25% jump in the sp yesterday. And one with limited exposure. If I had the choice between Beyoncé doing a private show for us and Questor in the Telegraph tipping us, I know which I would choose.
Albert. Although this company is run as a fiefdom, don’t you think that shareholders would be given a chance to vote? It would be catastrophic for me if the IHT aspect of this Aim share was lost before I could do anything about it.
It would surely be unrealistic, wouldn't it, to expect anyone making a bid in the near future of 10p when the market price is under 4p?
Albert. don’t understand your logic. I’d prefer to pay 20 or 30% on 10p rather than nothing or 10% on 4p!
KeithLemonade. I’m intrigued by your post! What has this to do with MVR? My granddaughter has done one of the tracks recorded, sound and vision, in her bedroom on smartphone. The accompaniment was dubbed on later. It is for charity. She is normally in musical theatre and , until I mentioned it to her, she was unaware of MVR.
None
Sorry! The ‘not’ shouldn’t have been in the last line!
Excellent post Mel5. If I was betting man (which I am) I would bet 99 out of 100 pop lovers have heard of MVR but only 1 in hundred of investors who read the financial pages of the daily press, Shares and Investors Chronicle have not. Who should we targeting for the sp to rise?
There will be spikes as new content is added but I am not expecting any significant sustained increase in the sp until MVR is taken seriously by the financial press. I have sent emails to many and have always had courteous replies but not a word in support has appeared in print.
All recognise that this is a niche market and put little value on the library ( borne out by the recent results). Neither can any understand the need to see the performer when listening to music.
I have built up a huge number of MVR shares over the past 3 years because I have the dubious advantage over most on this site of, unfortunately, not likely being here much longer. Being an AIM share, none will be subjected to 40% IHT.
I initially bought the shares because I believed Everything VR would not be confined to pop music. My interest in the latter is, if a so called artiste was performing at the bottom.of the garden, I would come in and shut all the windows. I found the content of Wireless abysmal but technically brilliant.
I have been disappointed at the quality of posts on this site, the majority being more fitted to some music magazine. Many remarks have shown total ignorance in investing acumen. ‘I don’t care what the sp is I’m in for the long term.’ You can have complete faith in the long term but this does not mean that you should not trade in them on a regular basis. I sold when I considered they were grossly overvalued at 16p. Instead of making a huge loss from holding at that price I have made the same huge loss trading but have increased my holding tenfold to 5M. Most of my eggs are in one basket as I still believe the sp is grossly undervalued.
Journalists like to hear from the public so could I urge others on this site to bring MVR to their attention with, of course, a reasoned argument for doing so?
It is reported in today's Telegraph that the soaps have found a way of resuming recording. Surely this is good news for us.
Anyone not being connected did not miss a thing. Complete waste of time and will generate no reporting in the financial press.
The RNS was extraordinary! Melody is not an essential industry so AM must have done it from home!
A1EX. No chance unless the shareholders agreed a consolidation first. The minimum bid price of a traded share is $3.
