Major stock indexes in Europe traded mixed in the premarket on Friday as investors digested the latest economic prints. Yesterday, Germany reported disappointing GDP figures in the first trimester. On the agenda, today, is the United Kingdom's retail sales report. Meanwhile, European Central Bank officials shared that further monetary policy tightening is needed.
At 08:03 am CET, the DAX was flat, the CAC 40 lost 0.10% and the FTSE 100 decreased 0.15%. The Euro Stoxx 50 rose 0.07% simultaneously.
The euro was up by 0.11% against the dollar at 7:59 am CET, selling for 1.07368. The pound was 0.13% above the greenback and went for 1.23377 concurrently.
