Europe down premarket with spotlight on earnings, data9 Nov 2021 06:39
European stock exchanges were below the flatline in premarket trade on Tuesday with investors' attention focused on trade balance and economic sentiment data for Germany, as well as earnings reports from Bayer and BioNTech. European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde will hold the opening speech at the ECB Forum on Banking Supervision later in the day.
The DAX decreased by 0.20%, London's FTSE 100 was down 0.20%, while the CAC 40 contracted by 0.23% at 7:29 am CET.
The euro was 0.11% higher against the dollar at 7:33 am CET, trading at 1.16019. The British pound was flat compared to the American currency, going for 1.35708 at the same time.
