Ok UR you sussed me out. Sorry...
Well does anyone know what we'll be worth this time next year??!!
My money is with Mads - I still think / hope we’ll wake up soon to find the share suspended.
RD
This is definitely building up steam Mads. More trades over the last couple of weeks than we’ve had in 12 months!
Could our time be coming?!
RD
14 million traded - where did that come from??!!
RD
Agreed UR. I believe the permits are now in place.
RD.
Haven’t seen this volume of trades for a long long time. Hard not to think something is afoot.
RD
Morning UR,
Still here, still waiting, still hoping...
RD
It’s all I could find down the side of the sofa...
Great resume of where we’re currently at UR. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
I don’t think anyone who has held LND (and most will have held PGD at some point too) could argue that the life of a shareholder has been bloody frustrating to say the very least. I for one have had a number of sleepless nights over the years!
That said, I do feel we're in a very interesting position now. They clearly believe this could be a multi million ounce deposit which combined with the previously reported low extraction rates etc etc should make this a very exciting prospect for any potential suitor.
So what happens next is the big question. I can’t see them wanting to let this go cheap but at the same time it’s only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay. Hopefully negotiations are ongoing behind the scenes.
I remain optimistic that this will come good and like UR have put my money where my mouth is.
Thanks again to Mads / UR / Dirkus etc etc for your measured and informative posts this year and hopefully 2020 will be our year (for a change...).
RD
I do think the standard of discussion on this BB is sensible and measured and I thank everyone for their input / views.
Hopefully we’ll get that curry night sooner rather than later!
RD
Sorry Mads, think you’re splitting hairs a bit there.
I don’t see quoting from the RNS as being a ramp...
This could be 5p by tomorrow - now that’s a ramp!
RD
I tend to agree Mads...
RD
Of course the track record of any company’s management needs to be taken into consideration but I think one fact that is way underestimated is the problems which PGD faced, many of which were out of the boards control. PGD faced almost the perfect storm of bad news which I believe lead some way to the collapse in share price. The gold price plummeted, the political and mining situation in Argentina was horrendous, stop losses were being triggered left, right and centre and I recall there were a number of other curve balls the company faced at the time.
Hopefully LND won’t face many if not most of these problems but yes, RP and BH do have something to prove here and the next few months, I believe, will be crucial.
Hopefully we’ll get that curry night chaps...
RD
Agree Mads.
Surely with the resource increasing and the the gold price rising (together with extraction costs etc etc) this has got to be a very attractive proposition for any potential buyer...
RD
From today’s Brokers note...
'While it might be unlikely that costs improve significantly, what has happened since the PEA is a rise in the gold price. Sensitivity analysis shows that a 10% increase in the gold price gives a 42% increase in NPV. Based on a $1,560/oz gold price (against todays $1,540/oz) the PEA on the extended case returns a Post Tax NPV 5% of US$227m (15p/share). Landore needs to firm up its extended case and show the potential of the regional targets and then we feel it will be hard for producers to ignore'.
Are you otherwise upbeat Mud??!
RD
Topped up - first trade this morning. Showing as a sell...
RD
Chicken dopiaza with plain boiled rice for me...
Hopefully LND believe they ARE sat on a multi million oz deposit hence why they won’t let this go cheap. Whether a JV is the way ahead, time will tell although I do share your concerns Mads that unless it is a good JV deal with a clear direction going forward, the SP might not react in the way we want.
In relation to PGD (having also been a long term holder during some extremely frustrating times!), I seem to remember that when we hit the dizzy heights back in 2011, we then hit the perfect storm of bad news which caused the SP to tumble - world financial crisis, collapse in the gold price, massive political instability / corruption in Argentina, an unfriendly mining government, automatic stop losses being triggered etc etc.
Hopefully the fact that LND operating in Canada will negate a lot of the above and make our journey much smoother!
Let’s see what the next few months bring...
RD
Also Dirkus, just because we’ve raised money to do more drilling, doesn’t mean we can’t get an offer in that time...
My take on the fundraising is that they've been in negotiations with a party / parties and haven’t been offered enough so in order to show any potential suitor they’re prepared to go it alone they have declined the offer and raised money to do further drilling themselves. IF that’s the case it shows they aren’t prepared to accept what they think is a low offer and are now playing hard ball. Hopefully this’ll work out in our favour. Of course I’m disappointed we haven’t had an RNS outlining an offer but I’d have been a lot more disappointed if the RNS had said they’d accepted a ridiculously low one. My initial reaction was negative but the more I think about it maybe it’s more positive than we think... RD
