Yea my divi came on the same day too. All sorted.
Hopefully things have settled down a little and we see some Upward momentum build upto next divi when it will drop again slightly lol
Wonder if next divi will be increased as less shares in issue now..
Yea understandably the sp and market cap has remained the same but my initial capital is down by 12%. Really annoyed they’ve done both the ex divi and consolidation on the same date. Left a lot of confusion.
Should’ve sold on Friday while I was in decent profit tbh.
I got in touch with customer service as the share price hasn’t dropped 10% today. I was told the charts haven’t been updated yet to reflect post consolidation price. Will wait to see what happens tomorrow.
If u look at the previous close price and open it’s pre consolidation price still.
It seems like a such a nightmare this bid situation!! Feel abit lost tbh think became very attached to Shanta and had high hopes for long term divis.
And more so because they’re isn’t another gold miner with the same awsome prospects as Shanta!!
Really annoyed today with the sh**show today!! Just a thought if all of filled in or sent an email outlining the fishy prescribe for this takeover maybe it’ll get investigated or at least cause some pain for the fu**ers!!

Sorry yea need to convert to dollars but yea was just confused it’s a very high paying divi if it’s almost £3+ per share even with the factor of 20. I don’t know any other company that pays £3 divi per share.
So my dilemma being whether after things have settled post NY listing etc. next two quarterly divis paid. Whether the divi will be reevaluated or cut to align with peers.. this has all left more questions and uncertainty as to which way we’d head post NY listing.
Apologise it might have already been discussed but this sounds too high so I’m doubting myself whether I’ve worked this out right.
So going off the divis for this year 4.37x4= 17.48cents. Right.
So after share consolidation it’s 17.48x 20= £3.50 per share divi over a year? (Factor of 20:1 for share consolidation) or about 87p per quarter?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Hope you’re all well.
Abit of a novice question.. share consolidation 5th December. USA trading commences 11th December. Third quarter divi in February so my question.. does the divi of 4.37 times by 20 after consolidation in payment. So very new consolidated share we are paid 87cent in divi (roughly). Probably is a silly questions but facing this situation first time.
Thanks
Thank you to whoever posted about AAZ on Shanta board!! I brought in at 44.6 based on rough chart guesstimate and I’m sat on a tidy 43% profit!!
Now having read up on the company, research on-going, I have decided not to sell and hold my low average price to build a bigger position.
Best of luck everyone!
Pipe down mate who said it’s happening tomorrow?. Reason why I don’t post on boards people like you can’t stay in context of the conversation!
Long term investors know what I’m on about cz we know modt timers that’s where the prize is. Sit tight and it will happen eventually long term.
And not to forget,
That’s just money from divis imagine the share price once it’s producing 150k oz gold. Debt free. It’ll double? Triple? Maybe.
It’s a win win if things head the way it has been. But as always nothing is smooth sailing! We hope for the best outcome
Couldn’t agree more. Shanta has done all the hard work and now it’s the time to ride the gravy train.
Just an example, if someone held just say 50,000 shares and divis go upto 20p a share annually that’s a tidy £10k income a year. Imagine every year putting that £10k into another handsome divi paying stock nd repeat every year.. this is how money is made. With experience you end up here eventually..
Hold. Refute any take over bid. Enjoy the cash cow in a few years.

So I’ve been a long term shg holder but barely post.
So been reading posts/ comments about people wanting a takeover bid- I seem to think this is very short sighted (my opinions ofcourse)
Shanta has the potential to be cash cow for a very very long time paying dividends which will be more beneficial and better value for money as opposed to a x2 bid off payment.
Does anyone remember glencore? How it went up and Divis? I see repeat here. It will take a few years but the potential for this so so big, no debt almost, and with relatively small share circulation we have potential for a very good future!!
I’d like this to be turned into a super mine over the years. Mine. Sell gold. Pay shareholders. Repeat again and again and against until I retire. lol

You for real mate? Anyone with a head on their shoulders always always factors in any kind of risk or the likelihood of added cost- you prepare for the worst case scenario and if it doesn’t materialise then nothing to loose but it’s better to be prepared isn’t it than think ahh it’s fine!! That’s what it states in the rns. Nothing concrete either way. Get a grip.
Very happy the way things are going and hopefully it gets even better from here onwards. We will be rewarded. I’m praying they can prove up some fresh reserves and extend the mine life by a couple years to give them enough cash to reward shareholders plus eye up some juicy developments!!
