We did forecast a possible return to the ftse 100 some time ago Dav .It looks a certainty now .Being away has complicated things a little. Have not received an allotment letter yet.I have a little over 100 000 shares could anyone give a figure on how much money they would want to buy the rights .This has shown up my folly for keeping only one share as otherwise could have sold some shares to buy the rights with .Any advice welcome on options available to me .My holding is within a sipp .
Crazy sp in this sector segro much worse at about 20% below nav .
Hi Dav it is a volatile market I agree but the gap between nav and share price is much bigger than their peers .Should have gone with my hunch and got into the miners .Hope the share price stays low until I have reinvested my divis.Happy hunting
Hope I can retire early with this share. Dav hope your other shares doing well too.Only downer for me is the discount to nav.But continue to reinvest divis so in a way it helps as I can buy more shares
Good to hear from you Moorhey yes managed to build up a big holding in sgro .I bought back into it at a very low point in 2012 at £2.25 .It was trading at 40% below its nav and I thought it was good value so filled my boots .Still think it has a little more upside but should diversify .I will have a look at OPAY and hope it all goes to plan for you .
Thanks for the reply Dav sgro continues its slow burner rise .I am not too worried about China it is a correction the pace of Chinas rise had to slow .In my opinion the Chinese worker wants a little more his days work and the western worker has to settle for less .So a merging of the economies is taking place .At the end of the day whoever produces needs the commodoties and it gets harder to get out the ground yearly .The dividend of the big miners could be cut .Have to have a look at pets at home and aue and wish you the best with your investments
Cheers for the info Dav I am not a trader type of investor so a little over my head really .I do a little research invest when low a contrairian really then sell when I think time is right .In the past I have sold some shares that have really shot up like telford homes sold at £1 and psn sold at £5 bvs sold at £5 if I had of kept them I would be a very rich man .But sgro done ok and a little left in the tank imho.My retirement looms so should stay safe and sgro is safe I feel. Hstn I got nervous with and sold and bought back making a slight profit,I had even thought about buying into the bigger miners bhp or rio and hanging on for a commodity uplift .Thoughts Dav
Hi again Dav still holding 97000 shares .Should really diversify but bought this share as a long term punt and should see the restructuring through .I hope the dividend and nav rises significantly .Not too long to wait now for interims sooner or later the results will surpass market expectations when it does maybe I will sell a few .I would like to buy hstn but think they are a little too fly by night for my liking with 8% of shares shorted .
Why is this share so shorted it is in fourth place of the top shorted shares ?
Looking forward to the interim results coming up .I am hoping that finally the company will show that the restructuring is starting to show through.Would like to see nav increase sharply , big dividend increase , more projects starting ,increase in rent roll ,better LTV around 40% or below ,further joint ventures using third party capital.Vacanies would be hard to improve on though.Opinions welcome
I thought the results were a little underwhelming so surprised at the increase in sp .Why bother increasing dividend by 0.3 % .segro not sincere about their progressive dividend policy going forward.Should reward their shareholders patience .Restructuring all but finished now .
The results are just around the corner .I wonder what we can expect .A hefty dividend rise I hope .The nav should have risen sharply too .Lots of developements completed bringing in more rent .Increase in developements in the pipeline.Decrease in vacant properties .Joint ventures and third party capital .Gearing lower .Momentum going forward with the restructuring. Results should back all this sentiment look forward to the 25th and will get up early to read rns
Hi Dav plus anyone else out there .The share price has risen quite sharply of late .Is it due to results coming up with hefty div increase and higher property valuation or is there something else pushing the price up .I bought in at £2.25p so with divs I am up about 100% too.Going to hang on for a little more before selling as this is my only share and should diverse really .opinions welcome
I know all the experts say its a bad idea not to spread your risks but sgro is my only share.I bought it because it looked such a good long term investment that was trading 40% below an already low nav .The sp still has plenty upside as there is the development potential that will increase the nav and increase the rent roll .The divi should rise steadily and that will help the sp .I like the third party capital collaborations too .I am for now happy owning only this share but will increase to 10 shares in the future and am looking for a home for the big profit I have made on this share.I would hope the sp is around £4 or hopefully a little above in February when full year results are posted.
