Tullow is burning through debt daily though and those not in the know (most on here) underestimate the significance of the jubilee field. Another merger proposition is a decent possibility.

Jubilee has a high gas oil ratio. Tullow is limited in the amount of gas they can flare off annually. I believe the maximum at the moment works out to around 45 million scf per day. Day to day the company try to keep it to 35 million or below due to environmental concerns. As a result the wells are choked back to keep the gas flaring within limits.

Once the gas deal is agreed they will bring up the second gas compression train onboard doubling the amount of gas they can process for export.

Then we’ll see that bopd figure increase.

Last i heard the gas deal between the Ghanaian government and Tullow was oven ready. The unit price remained to be finalised but that was 6 weeks ago.
