The drop off on volumes on GS20 over the weekends (if accurate ) suggests to me that current users are mainly corporate clients. What’s stopping them getting this rolled out in UK, is it the KYC’s ?

Semnet fits nicely into the puzzle when looking at the requirements the FCA expects. Everything is coming together, just need a little more patience. I can’t see any downside here

Lloyd I seem to remember you found a page last year that appeared to be testing the stablecoins, is that still active ?

They really do need to up their game with the website. If you click on GS20 on the GST website it takes you to EMS ! Hopefully they are busy working on the main building blocks of the company and the fancy website will follow in due course.

aim.....i've only quickly skimmed it but seems we have to wait for the fca to get their **** in gear. they are sending out discussion papers with comments back by feb !! the other point i noticed is the stablecoins have to be backed by equal liquid assets - maybe thats where the citigroup connection comes in ?

I reckon announcement about FCA approval next week. Always thought it would be after the 8th Jan when new regulations regarding stablecoins come into force. The RNS yesterday indicates we have approval - why would you announce the Lord will be CEO upon approval if you know it's not happening !!

GST were advertising for an employee to run GS20 towards the end of last year, not something they’d do if they sub con out the exchange in my opinion

I did well with Solana in December, managed to take out a tidy profit and leave original investment in, now split between Sol and BTC. My plan is to take out any profits from crypto to put in my ISA next year. Unfortunately the crypto will be subject to Capital Gains Tax if over 6k but have my wife’s name ready to use in that scenario 😉

My personal opinion is the the FCA, Treasury, BOE weren't ready for GST, not the other way around...

New rules due in from Jan 8th. I think we will hear news on Sandbox soon after this date

Not quite the finish to the year I expected but that's investing for you ! I've done my research and very happy with GST and my 0.8 average going into 2024. Patience is key as there is so much good news to come with this share, I truly believe we are at the start of major shift in the way banks and the movement of money is undertaken with blockchains, stablecoins, crypto etc and GST are right there putting all the building blocks together. There will always be the naysayers (some didn't think mobile phones and the internet would take off) and there will always be the traders chasing the quick buck but for me I'm happy to sit back and enjoy the ride (New Year resolution is to stop checking the price so much!!)

December has been good to me with Solana so Mrs Rabbithole will have her stocking filled this year
