Do you go long when you close your short positions or just wait for the bounce and place another short? I'm guessing being short on this share can be as nail biting as being long?

Getting hammered by the stronger dollar/weaker gold price. The weaker Peso should count in its favour.

I tend to view the whole market manipulation thing with a degree of cynicism. However, given that the expectation was that Clinton would win and the price of gold would fall perhaps there is something in that! Once the powers that be have extricated themselves will there be an almighty 'ping' in the opposite direction?

Up again today - 6% at the moment, circa 2.71 Yes AAL down... Weird how precious metals haven't surged so much on the Trump win.

I'm surprised that the gold and silver price, having spiked yesterday, has returned to roughly were it was. I would have thought that the upset of yesterday would have pushed it and held it a good deal higher? FRES seems to be sitting tight despite a few factors working in its favour!

Copper currently up 2.5% today, sat at circa 2.37

Copper also seems to be pushing higher - hit 2.30 today which it was last at just over a year ago.

Good result! Some serious money to be made in this volatility.

Seems a lot of commodity shares have reacted to the House of Lords ruling on Article 50. Stronger Pound? Is this the start of a longer downtrend or a blip? Today copper is trading at levels last seen in July.

RNS sounded pretty positive - would have expected a good boost. Fed interest rate forecasts holding things back?
