Block cave mines already exist. The experience to build them exists.
Now if we change the BOD, to an experienced block cave mining BOD, which is what we are doing. Then we build it.

Zoros name me one major miner who has all the experience under one roof, and before you say BHP, or indeed anyone else, why not find out first.
Nobody has the experience under one roof.
The process that I have described is what they undertake.
The only difference I can think of is that they will have project management in place, as once the mine is built, you still require project management for preservation, maintenance and to provide ongoing reports, and suggest continuous improvements and changes throughout the life cycle of the mine.

OK civil engineering projects undertaken, with no previous experience.

The Apollo missions, which got us to the moon.

The London and French underground network.

I could go on. The point is this, we are already subcontracting this out to do the designs documents for the PFS, lots of this is subbed out. The BOD are managing it, so as problems arise they are resolved and documented.
Engineering is about continuous improvement.
Just relax, we are on our way.

I don't think any of us saw that a new PFS would be produced that would make the initial construction of Alpala cheaper and quicker, with increasing gold and copper prices.
Maybe Irwin would be happy to hold now, and he may have a rough idea of the costs and timescale that Solgold is working towards. If so, then whereas in the past CGP never supported the BOD, maybe now they will.
Maybe they will be supporting Solgold building this and going for it.

We have a lot to be thankful for to NM, as he has defended this company from a takeover, and got us to where we are.
The company is changing from explorer to production, and we see that this is happening at board level and on the ground.

Block cave mining has been undertaken since the 1950's that is over 60 years of experience.
Please can people with no knowledge of engineering stop spreading false rumours that this is too difficult.

caving using scrapers. J agersfontein was the first mine to convert to block caving
in the 1950's and, following successful implementation here, caving became the
method of choice in the Kimberley mines. Block caving was successfully
employed as an underground mining method until the mid 1980's. Safety and
profitability of the underground mines improved markedly.

Jerry sorry that's rubbish, you are saying things I haven't said and you are conflating.
I have made no statement wherever block caving is easy or not.
I have said it is a civil engineering project, and so we give it to civil engineers.
Open heart surgery is not easy, but we give the jobs to heart surgeons.

It's people like you that pretend that it's too difficult, without looking into it, or even thinking about it.
As for few contractors, there are 100's of companies that could undertake this.
It shows you have no idea how civil engineers work.
The difference between HLD and LLD and build, are different areas of expertise.
Let me explain in simple terms.
When you build a housing development, the architect designs it, he doesn't build it, the Quantity Surveyor calculates the materials and costings, but doesn't build it. The different trades and engineers build it, each one has an area of expertise, and understands and can read the plans. It gets built. This approach is the same for any civil engineering project. Do not believe people on here, they haven't got a clue.

Hi Bozi nothing has changed, I don't believe we will be sold or a JV is on the cards for Alpala. Although PFS and Timescales have changed. The plan to bring Alpala to production is the same, although we are going to do it faster and cheaper, while gold and copper prices will increase along the way.

I take your points Jerry, a fair response to my mind, I would add that we need a PFS and CFP, so don't expect much until year end.

Sorry Jerry you are confusing me you say that you will give the new CEO a chance.
I don't see the strategy changing as Solgold have been clear about it, and are looking for a CEO with Block caving experience to execute their strategy.
So you are saying that if he executes the current strategy, then that's OK, but you think they are lying about the current strategy.
Their is nothing in the strategy about a JV or partners.
So what I said about you want a quick profit and not a long term plan for the company is correct.
I think you should read back what you have said.

Jerry they have recently outlined the Alpala strategy on a recent RNS, just read it, because if I tell you what it is you will say I am wrong, but basically it's they are redesigning the mine, they are going to publish the PFS, raise the finance and build it.

Addicknt it is you that has contradicted yourself, you say that their is a price to pay for having major shareholders on, and you only talk about BHP and NCM, and then suggest they are in charge.
If you really believe that, then you are forgetting that NM has the largest shareholding, in his various guises.
With the backing of Blackrock and others, and the PI's. BHP and NCM are not in charge.

I agree on CGP DBW.
A low bid is a moving target, and if it was at company valuation as it is today, we would not get value, hence defense necessary.
However I if we get a 7 billion dollar NPV with the PFS and a settled CFP, Then I think at that stage £2 a share would be a low bid, as that would only value Alpala and nothing else.
Hence why I liked the JV's for twenty of our prospects that have so far not been developed.

Agreed DBW, it's Solgold that is driving this, not BHP or anyone else.
The diverse book shows that no low bid would succeed.
The AGM was a success in that it showed that Solgold has NM backing in many forms and that it is still NM that BHP and others need to talk too, if they want to make an offer.
What I believe will drive this share upward, is a good PFS and a CFP.
Once we have these in place, then if we are to get a bid, it will be early next year.
However once we have these in place, the only finance we will require is for the other tenements, and we are hopefully going to JV twenty of the ones we are currently not developing.
Until then or nearer to the end of the year, we will probably yoyo in price.

So as I have constantly said, this makes a bid unlikely, and the most probable outcome is we will take this to production.
