To me the copper price makes sense.

People always concentrate on the supply side of the argument and forget the demand.

Demand isn't about what is required, it's about what is required and affordable.

So as the copper price rises, the demand falls on the affordability test.

This is why the likes of colonelDrake and Redknight predicted gold at 5,000-10,000 dollars an ounce, I knew they were talking rubbish.

Sure the world is going to require copper on a massive scale.

But if the price rises part of the demand cycle diminishes and we become self regulating on the price.

We will see higher copper price's but not as high as some on here believe.

SharketMare I don't have the answer to your question.

But I can speculate.

For example we know we are looking at a first cut which at a later stage convert to a full block cave operation.

So lending can be staged.

We may do another royalty or offtake agreement to fund our share.

Then a JV partner buys in once they know the lay of the land to fund their share.

We are told that we have many parties looking at the data room, so if that is the way forward then we have competitive tension.

Lastly more shares can be issued in a limited way.

For me the important part of the strategic review is how much lower is the first open cut ramp going to cost and the associated infrastructure costs to get us to production and start providing revenue.

I believe it's going to be a lot less than 2.9 billion dollars.

I believe you are correct on signalling that we will continue to burn cash to anyone who wants to buy Solgold.

But I don't believe we are going to be sold.

All the indications are we are going to production with a partner.

I also believe we will be the majority stakeholder and we will target the high grade gold at Cascabel. Possibly Tandy.

May I ask a question.

There are a number of parties active in the data room. Some we are likely to have heard of and some we are less likely to know. The one thing they all have in common is a balance sheet sufficient to become a strategic partner. So potentially deep pockets.

Does this mean we are looking for a partner to bring this to production. As no mention of we are up for sale.

But we are looking for a partner with the available finance.

Hence a JV.

Eloro when you have been here as long as I have, you will understand that yet again we are supposed to have a rumour.

This has been happening since hole 5.

The idea of debt funding Cascabel in stages makes complete sense and I believe is the way forward.

I believe this is being looked at seriously.

Maybe with a JV maybe on our own.

Before anyone pipes up and says it's too expensive.

The answer is it's not.

Scott doesn't think so as he has now commented twice about going it alone.

We can do this in many ways, with a mix of someone buying into a JV. Plus loans which are staged.

Let's also consider offtake.

Their are other financial instruments àlso.

The calculation that we have to undergo is the payback period with accrued interest. Hence staging.

Sure someone may bid for us. But as Solgold has said many times before.

We are not going cheap and as I have said and been proven right many times before, we can defend.

We are apparently favouring a decline, this could provide ore in 18 months.

We have no idea on costs yet but if under 1 billion, then even this will be staged.

After that we proceed to a full block cave using income from our first cut.

My feeling is a JV is desirable, but other borrowing will be sought in order to keep the controlling interest in Solgold as a whole.

This is not like other JV's because the mineral wealth is massive compared to the outlay, so after all this time, we are not going to give it away.

GGP ended up selling 70% might now be 75% of Haveron to NCM.

We would be the senior partner, because however this pans out, we are looking at various ways to fund Cascabel.

The reason why I am slightly surprised is I guess we will go for the high surface gold.

However by doing this, we have to do it in such a way that we can still block cave in the future, so we need to be careful where we tunnel, as this may affect how we get to the main ore body later on.

Mining by access decline can be done in two different ways.

Really all this is, is tunneling to the parts you want to mine, and using a matrix of cuts to blast and recover the ore.

However if we are going to a block cave operation at a later date, I am surprised that we are talking about this.

It can be done, but has to be planned in advance.
