We know it’s going to happen but to link Newcrest and BHP together as clearly interested parties is an endorsement that a bidding war is the ultimate prize for us shareholders.

shippy there were actually around 12 x 157 sales went through- some sort of algo deal.

I am off to the bank on Thursday to get them to buy 250,000 for me-its the only way I can do it without SIPP involvement.

Doubt it will make any difference in the price but forewarned is forearmed.

Clearly some on the bid side are squeezing the offers as stock is needed it appears.

Now i wonder why that is??

Shippy and a year ago we were all ecstatic at 37P-I am just as excited now but for different reasons- fully funded and the share price underpinned by recent events.

So 62.26% is held by Nick and significant shareholders.

There are several other shareholders with decent holdings say another 7% takes us up to 70%

so 30% left which is spread amongst PI's held in nominees I would have expected and free float making up the rest.

Can anybody hazard a guess what the actual PI holding would be ?

Lets be conservative and say 10%-that only leaves 20% for a predator to try to get hold of unless BHP or any other major do a deal with CGP for their 270million Solg shares.

Any thoughts?

Yes seen it Nobby- my guess it was being worked and that's when the price started to move up.

Even the reported time price was mid price so either mm's want stock or as I believe it was an earlier worked buy.

Sav sorry no- just said the presentation was the same as Thursdays.

I have heard that Nick had 2 rooms to do his presentation, both were fully occupied and the response was positive.

All good to know.

I do think that there is a shortage of stock.

Why? Because from time to time during the day as happened yesterday and even today 1 or 2 of them are not on the book at all.

Simple point of view is they don't have shares to buy or sell??
