Pfizer haven't proved anything, the figures are so off kilter and biased. Why would the CEO sell 6million quids worth of shares on the day of 'half results' notice the FDA or ERA haven't approved this 'non vaccine' you may as well inject saline, this vaccine has the same efficacy as the placebo.
Az and Pfizer have come up with an unproven, half solution to a problem and couldn't wait to get their results out. It's all based on (training the body to produce Antibodies) Using RNA. Even if, and it's a big if, these vaccines work. The delivery mechanisms won't, not yet. It's a ploy 'good news, etc' Antibodies don't cure infected people once the spike has detached. There's also evidence to support that Antibodies are ineffective after 60-90 days. The people who are likely to need this inoculation (it's not strictly a vaccine) will need to be tested on a very regular basis. Antibody tests only prove, you 'may' have fought off the Virus, or you could still be infectious (which Antibodies don't tell you) This virus will be around for at least the next 5-7 years, if not longer. If Avacta actually manage to produce something decent, then we're talking large multiples of current market cap. If they don't, it's down to 40p (ish) I beleive they will deliver and deliver well, but you just need to keep the faith. MM's are taking it down and walking it up, slowly. Mid January will tell.
Nice quote! I also like `Forrest Gump's', "stupid is as stupid does" or it may have been "but you don't got no legs Lieutenant Dan"
There's only one way to settle the ODX V AVCT debate.......FIGHT!!
True, but you don't know who would have caught Covid anyway. So of the 43000 (50% placebo) ,94 caught covid. The only way the efficacy would be proven is if everybody had been infected after the inoculation, they weren't, so it proves nothing. In fact you could marry that figure to infection rates in many towns of 180 cases per 100,000.
MFM, you sound like one of Harry Enfield's 'Old Gits' 'Tragedy' FFs, if your opinion of Avacta et al is so low, why not invest elsewhere, where it won't cause you so much heartache?
Retire by 40. I was referring to validation by English companies. Absolutely nothing to do with spurious purchases of overseas tests.
You don't know anything about validation. Mate's favours etc. do not occur in this country, in this sector under any circumstance. What an idiotic thing to say.
You're full of it 'next time I say buy something' ffs, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
MissAnthrope, of course he does!! if you have pots of money and a portfolio manager in 'Mayfair' Why do you spend so much time commenting on little AIM BB's like this? You are so 'Misanthropic' you really shouldn't be here. Enjoy the fruits of your broker's endeavours and just **** off.
I agree, you have to be one of the board 'snitches' to use the 'Aw' word. Snitches get stitches. Don't anger the 'Awanchor' illuminati.
It was Global, always finds the trade.
I think it's possible that with the news flow expected, that Sir Al is also very conscious of breaching MAR, so sold prior to any significant news flow. Poor chap's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I don't think his are the actions of a man setting up to fail. If the cash released is only a deposit for his new drum, then obviously he doesn't want a monkey on his back for years to come.
He is now running his own book, so to speak. He has a vested interest and one would expect, no access to any privileged information. He may have called a couple of things correctly. However, so does Global (albeit after the fact) Here's a thought, a LFD isn't just binary, it can signal more than one result, including +- for antigens and antibodies. That would be the 'ring to unite all rings' I do agree that we need to see something soon. I expect, when it does arrive, and it will, it will be the de facto global standard.
Not doing clinical trials, that's a totally different path.
Reckitt Benckiser currently, although they only manufacture one interesting drug.
I could add more. I have worked for Thermo, Waters, AZ, GSK, NovoNordisk, Chiron, Novartis, J&J and ****, I can't remember the rest. Achieving something that normally takes years isn't easy. Oh yeah, Seqirus too, although, that's the same as Novartis really.
I've worked in validation in this industry for nearly 25 years. Tech transfer, normally, isn't a RNS subject. It's not even a regulatory subject. Once it's completed and the 'test' products are ready for trial, that's a different matter. Don't expect an RNS for what is normal procedure between a 'Pharma' and a contract manufacturer. Yes, it's taking longer than one would expect, however, this company wants to get it right, first time. Patience or don't bother. This will be a game changer.
Perhaps you wouldn't get hammered for it, if you didn't call it after the fact. You're absolutely clueless. If you had any idea at all, you'd keep schtum and just make all these fantasy trades in silence. Walter Mitty.
We want Global as our leader!!!
