I worked with a lad a few years ago now, who was on the Mangus for BP, when it started production. He said that they(BP) got the first 2 years production tax free to recoup exploration & development costs and then after that they were taxed at what ever the rate was.
This has probably evolved over the years to something different now, but that's what it used to be. Either that, or RT isn't bothered about the taxation rate as we're going for a slow ramp up/ flowing of the wells to gather as much data as possible.

If you were that curious or interested yourself and 3 mates could email and ask, if i was that curious thats what id do.

Theres something been bugging me about the article RT mentions downtime for pigging etc, why would you pig a bunkering hose connected to a cargo tanker. I hope he's just been mis-informed? In my experience you don't shut down to pig, you divert the flow via a kicker line and once the pig is in the launcher you re route back to the export line and the flow pushes the pig forward. Anyway we're nearly there now; still 100 days ish to go before the H1 2019 target is here. Good luck to all the patient holders.

Lonestag: mentioned the other day about permit submitted for oil discharge.(this is for oil in water discharge to sea, produced water)

Nope, a plausible explanation would be that its in Norway for some other work related issue, if you look at Standby boats tag in any shipping tracking app it says search and rescue, the clue is there. In a long time offshore the only thing I've seen coming off or going onto a standby by boat is people. I'd be very surprised but chuffed also if you were correct tho, never mind its still 130 days until the end of H1, and that's when Hurricane said they expected first oil .

I think you may find that the Grampian Dynamic is heading back to port for a crew change and will be back in a few days.

That's correct about the Claymore 2036 is the forecast & the Piper is happening but not the Clyde.

Your information about the Clyde drilling is incorrect, its the Claymore & Piper are having there drilling upgraded.
