You're correct that GV is to do with the SSE cable, its been in and out of Buckie harbour for the last year or two.
Route forecast says she's going back to where she was anchored.

Underway using engine.
Nope, a plausible explanation would be that its in Norway for some other work related issue, if you look at Standby boats tag in any shipping tracking app it says search and rescue, the clue is there. In a long time offshore the only thing I've seen coming off or going onto a standby by boat is people. I'd be very surprised but chuffed also if you were correct tho, never mind its still 130 days until the end of H1, and that's when Hurricane said they expected first oil .
I think you may find that the Grampian Dynamic is heading back to port for a crew change and will be back in a few days.
Looks like it on hire from March - October

On find ship app, its status is: at anchor. So it looks like she's plugged in. Just wait for the news on Monday, and that's another box ticked.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and don't eat yellow snow.

There is still alot of vessels in the area with this work just completed, & whats going on around Beatrice area, so it makes sense to give the area a wide berth.

Yep that's correct, there's plenty oil in many areas, around existing infrastructure. But there are no plans to upgrade Clyde.
That's correct about the Claymore 2036 is the forecast & the Piper is happening but not the Clyde.
Your information about the Clyde drilling is incorrect, its the Claymore & Piper are having there drilling upgraded.
Been here 10 years, you get used watching. Its like white noise sometimes. Thankfully with Minty gone from the helm hopefully things may happen a bit quicker.
How many pieces are there to the Jigsaw tho?
I understand the need for joint ventures but still no income?

Minty has 12 million he took 5 at the last placing. Burton took 4 mill.
SOB,
where are you getting the information about the Clyde drilling being upgraded?
Peeps etc
Some of u lads or lassies are nippy'r than some of us who've just worked xmas n new year.
Sorry, after 2 decades on a production floater, I was getting mixed up about the buoy, forgot its already attached to the seabed.
HiHo.
If you look at PMO's RNS for Catcher as an example vessel arrived 18th Oct attached buoy next day, tested turret the following day and carried on commissioning until first oil 23rd Dec, so around 9 weeks, so that should give all the interested parties a rough timeline of what to expect.
The only difference is that Catcher isn't West of Shetland.
But the weather shouldn't affect commissioning, only attaching the buoy and anchor handling.
Good luck to all holders.
Morning, not sure about the swell, but its generally the significant wave height that floaters care about. The weather reports for most installations use is from the Met office.
