Peter Wale tweeted an SML slide, from his latest interview with Proactive, to which an investor quipped - ‘Yes, they are good slides, but when is SML actually going to do something.’ That person is a certain Mr Roger Day - and if he reads, and contributes to, this board, I applaud your succinct delivery: it made me laugh out loud.

KRS felt compelled to refer to Togo in today’s RNS: after waiting an inordinate amount of time for the licence and with the recent visits to Togo, the BoD probably reasoned it had little choice but to divulge the supposed reasons for the perpetual delays - its omission would have led to a frenzied speculation that it would no longer form part of KRS’s strategy. I have no qualms in playing the devil’s advocate, especially when Togo’s involved.

So, anything between $500m and $2bn - even with the former figure, it’s a gargantuan increase from this insulting market-cap.

On the back burner it stews, just as it has been for much of the previous seven-odd years - focus instead on phosphate.

That’s been the situation since 2019, at least - hard to believe that anyone would even start to believe that the exploitation licence would be imminent: history of waiting does not augur well for any time soon - the president and his cronies operate according to the former’s whims.

Any prospective foreign mining company looking to invest in Togo would perform due diligence on its mining history and code, and promptly conclude that it would not be worth waiting nearly ten years for an exploitation licence: either Togo wants foreign investment to create jobs and produce tax revenue by facilitating ventures with conducive governmental policies and regulations - or it continues to frustrate by instigating unhelpful and repetitive commissions and inquiries into the pros and cons of whatever sector it feels is on-trend.

Well, if this share-price extends its uptrend, then peeps would be happy grabbing onto its love-handles...
