SK, my preferred approach would be to use a waterfall system: create a 3-5km2 patch on the EPO map, drill it, test it, market it, sign a jv deal or sell it. In the mean time you would have scoped out the next patch by sending a couple of test rigs over there.
Once sold, use that money to move on to the next 3-5km2 patch, and repeat.
If EPO is 57 Zulus, then surely at least 10 more profitable areas can be found.
1. Ownership of Zulu is not fundamental as there are more Zulus in our EPO so as long as it has minerals and we can sell them, fine.
2. Yes there is a good chance they will finance a mine, but I am pretty sure the at least some of the other 13 would have done similar.
You say we should be happy as PREM is cash rich....i'd be happier if we were cash rich-er.
I would rather grab 200-300 million now then give away 13% of the company for £12 that just covers DFS and some extra trinkets.
But I never said I would sell post FFS, who knows what else we find in our EPO and I want to wait until this 6 month period is over so maybe we can close more deals with others.
I agree with Acker as well, leave the mining to miners, GR is an explorer, PREM is good at creating value by exploring. We should stick to our lane and make the most profits possible and not venture out in mine building and mining.
