After burn.
Is your argument for share consolidation.
I have no issue with a 1 for 10 rate.
MCap aside that would put BPC SP at 2x where TXP were in Brighty's post.
The 12 month period described a 10 fold SP.
Assuming no consolidation event it would be fair to suggest the MCap also went 10x in the same timeframe.
What would that look like for BPC?
Well 10x your entry price is the same for me regardless of where the SP starts.
If I have 100k invested in a BPC at 2p SP or 100k invested in ABF at 1700p if they both go 10x I end up with 1000k.
Oh in another world, yeah he could wear a dress.
Oh in another world or even more 'normal times' a company this close to drilling potential of this size with the funds in place for the drill. Using best in class drillships to drill a prospect backed by some brilliant 3d seismic data, with 100% economic rights (less reasonable government royalties)
Would people have expected the share price to have started moving?
Nothing to support my theory but here goes.
The later the rise the sharper I expect it to be.
The sharper the spike the more it overshoots fair value.
Now for the warning.
Newbies do not get caught on the spike.
Traders when it goes it may go fast.
LTHs get off the train wherever it works best for you.
JTK.
If you go back in the archive I think there was an incentive linked to selling out. Think the minimum price trigger was something like 32.5p.
Rare from me at least.
If we draw a blank at Perv#1 (and I hope we do not) but do not burn through the contingency funds.
Is there an argument based on Stars numbers, for the SP to be higher than today?
Arguments for:
Strategic play from BPC would be to refocus on TandT even if only to build a cash pile for Perv#2. I suspect IIs and PIs would be less inclined to put hands in pockets at that stage (at least to support P#2)
Arguments against:
I have not looked into the financial requirements to get Tand T on the right track. The contingency balance may be just a drop in the ocean.
Just a point on SPs humour.
Would it have been received differently if he had said "sorry (insert major oil CEO of your choice here) the price is the price.
Deep concern Linton.
It would appear that the sweepstake and advertised prizes maybe, just maybe could fall foul of advertising standards.
Can you confirm that the signed photo of Leo you have requested is as a replacement for your personal signed photo that has been offered as a prize?
If not I am left to question the existence of first and second place prizes....
Not to mention the fourth prize (sponsored by Christianity) of eternal life.
Some see doom.
Some see buying opportunities.
The beauty of shares.
I said upon buying my last batch that would be my final buy.
If it drops much lower my resolve will be tested.
2.25 I can resist.
2.00 that might be more difficult.
1.75 I would be looking to take time away from all tech because of the temptation.
1.5 mrs P_I will string me up but....
Trade off.
If we see 1.5 again something has gone horribly wrong.
Looks like he has gone off before the fireworks display started.
Any similarities between his BB posts and real life may or may not be coincidental
I asked mine if she fancied being locked in the gun cabinet.
I have to say I was taken aback by the reply.
Apparently we don't have a gun cabinet.
There have been a few probings of my line of questioning.
Star is consistently positive.
Irene is consistently negative.
I do not need to agree with either to respect their viewpoint.
Rocket I have no idea what you viewpoint is, nor how long before it switches sides.
At least Harry is open honest and upfront when he twists his view and for that I respect him.
He also between trading spells posts meaningful items here.
He challenges with reason, supports the view he is presenting at the time with considered arguments.
If Harry were a paid ramper/deramper he would offer a significantly better value proposition for an employer than Rocket.
I suspect Rocket may be taking time out (or posting under a new pseudonym shortly.
FindMe.
Did she ever sell the golf clubs.
My wife has started to comment that mine are taking longer for her to clean. If I had a spare set and alternate between them, my set for the morning round, the spare set for my afternoon round both sets would only require half the cleaning.
P_I praying this post shuffles quickly from the first page of posts before mrs P_I notices.
Ross.
I will wait for Irene to tell me what I had.
Rocket to agree with what I had before quickly changing view to tell me I had something different before switching back to agreeing with the original answer.
In terms of what I did have for breakfast I would be quietly confident that today at least they will both be wrong.
I am also confident that if they keep saying the same thing (provided that thing sits within a normal breakfast spectrum) one day they will be right and we will never hear the end of it.
If they can stretch out the delays and align with BPC on production ramp up schedule (yes, assumes positive drill outcomes - for the avoidance of doubt I am not telling anyone that the drill will or will not be successful)
I would not be surprised if upon a positive result we are put under pressure from the government of the Bahamas to accelerate production plans as far as possible - any incentives to do so would naturally be welcome.
It was a fair point to raise Tiburn.
I get the feeling many new posters may not have been aware of some elements of BPC history.
Out of interest has anyone looked at the 3d seismic data between Cuba and BPCs Perv#1?
(Posters of deliberately contrarian views - those who would disagree with me over what I had for breakfast this morning types - and those who would be anti BPC even if they had solved world hunger, the coronavirus and set up a global children's education trust to give all children access to a world of opportunity through education. You know who you are. Need not respond. )
Not for consideration yet but once we know what lies beneath there may be some interesting route to market discussions.
Lowest cost but with red tape and strings attached vs higher cost and less political tensions.
Uninformed viewpoint as I do not have detailed knowledge of route to market costs or the materiality of those cost differences.
Tiburn. Very much tongue in cheek...
Are you suggesting the Cuban team are stealing our oil?
That is naughty.
Maybe Donald could get them to build a wall within the structure along maritime boundaries.
How has his Mexican wall gone?
I hope the one we need between BPC and Cuba is less porous.
So many things wrong with that post but it triggered some visual imagery within me that made me smile.
And the point is?
Sometimes when we hear, are told, or read something we try to look for angles.
Who was right, who was wrong,. Was the wife at fault, did her actions provoke the husband. Was the husband at fault, clearly we know the wife is not lazy. We are told as much. We have no backdrop to measure against. Did the husband work longer hours or have fewer days off.
So the point is?
Sometimes there is no point.
Sometimes the RNS only tells us what is written, sometimes how it is written is intended to help us draw conclusions. These conclusions are not always correct.
In the interests of gender balance I will reverse the stereotype from the original...
Woman gets home from work late one Friday evening having completed her 12th straight 15 hour shift.
She collapses down into her favourite chair in front of the tv and says to her husband 'quick, quick get me a beer before it starts'
Obligingly he brings her through a beer, sits down and asks about her day.
She downs the beer in one, hands the empty bottle back to her husband and says, "quick, quick, grab me another it's about to start"
He takes the bottle and says, "you lazy good for nothing useless woman, get your own beer"
"Too late" she says, "its started"
With the number of u turns us Catherine Wheel more apt?
