Where’s Darren Buffer when you need him?
Is that because of the hard year for copper that you predicted in January? Thanks for the tip.
I very much believe in the copper story and hold about 30% of my portfolio in this and other small and large cap miners with a copper focus. With increasing copper prices there is likely to be a shift away from copper in some areas. Aluminium can be used as a cheap substitute in some situations. I’ve invested a small amount in an aluminium etf and it’s done much better than the copper one recently, though I have no evidence as to whether this is due to a shift from copper or not.
I’m not trying to talk down copper, just thought some here might use it as a jumping off point to investigate new investments on a rainy blustery Saturday.
I’ve not been invested in this share for a decade for it to go for £100M. Double that and I might wake up. Thanks to TDT for bringing the accumulation to my attention, whether it’s the cause of the rise or not, it persuaded me to average down.
‘Crass in the extreme’ seems a bit much. I dare say if EUA does ever produce anything monetarily then people who got lucky there might see enough similarities with AMC to chance their arm again, and probably in sufficient numbers to bump the price somewhat. Having said that, saying that nothing’s going to happen here until EUA have done whatever it is they’re going to do, is probably pushing it, too.
Shake off the disappointment, TDT, and average down again. It’s time to decide if I’m just throwing good money after bad, or maximising my profit by buying more shares. The accumulation and the global nickel picture might have just persuaded me to throw in a few more thousand. A healthy profit would taste sweet indeed after so many years of (perhaps mainly self-induced) disappointment.
Any need for the insults here?
Hi Jimster. FWIW, I have about 3% of my portfolio in RMM, when I bought it it was almost 6%, but hey ho. I’m in a number of miners, big guys, small producers and junior explorers. Of all of them I have the highest hope/timescale ratio for RMM for a significant increase in share price. I should probably average down, but I’m trying to limit my AIM betting addiction. However, I would very happily bet on RMM with your money. With more stopes and a solid copper price behind us, I expect things to improve rapidly here. The thing holding me back is the number of black swans that seem to circulate in the mining world. Good luck with your decision, whatever you choose to do.
It’s a mystery to me too, rugs. What do people want? Solid production and good dividends, with a product that’s likely to get more in demand and therefore more expensive. Perhaps people don’t see potential for growth here so would prefer to try and make gains through share price increases in other stocks rather than dividends in this one?
If only there were an Unrecommend button.
Bang on the money MP. I do wonder if it would move the needle of the nickel price if the name of the batteries had Nickel in it. I suppose if you’re savvy enough to think about what the constituents are of an electric car and invest on the basis of a predicted explosion in demand for those constituents, you are savvy enough to find out what the ratio of the key ingredients of one of the main battery types are. So the needle would probably not move a jot. Ah well.
Blue, if you think that RL discussing facts about the project is talking the price down then perhaps you’re in the wrong share? Similarly, if you think that anyone would pay RL enough per post to make that his sole reason for posting, you’re deluded. Maybe RL is trying to work out whether or not there is a good case to invest in AMC, finds some value in discussing his thoughts on a public forum, and is kind enough to share what appears to be incredible knowledge of mining operations with know-nothings like me? There are a number of people I’ve filtered on this board, and it’s the ones that are baselessly ramping the price that I block as I can very well make up stupid MCaps on my own without some other idiot doing it for me. What I can’t do is have significant mining knowledge and apply that dispassionately to a project, so I’m glad there is someone here that does, so maybe you could lay off the baseless accusations of RL being paid to be here? If he gets fed up and goes, then the board will be far the worse for it.
Thanks Geng. Please keep posting the chart stuff. I had a dabble on another share you mentioned and made a few £ when it gapped up . I am a long-suffering holder of AMC and it would be nice to make a little return on it via the medium of charts from someone I’ve never met on a BB while I wait for the fundamentals to do their thing.
Ha! Thought you meant CAML! Rushed over there looking for some bumper RNS about a gold strike, no such luck. Ah well, when RMM starts fulfilling its potential I’ll be very happy.
