A run up to results ? We need all to get behind the Black Horse's backside and push or a red hot poker shoved up it to get it moving.

As for dividend we might get the 1.8p but the market will take more than that back :-(

Looks like a down day for the yanks and the FTSE soon follows, shame we never follow them up only down

We keep being told how undervalued the FTSE companies are yet as soon as there is a down opening on the Dow FTSE follows.

Makes you wonder who is pulling the strings.

Good results seem to do very little to many on Ftse & if they do with in a few days the gains are taken back

Good to see there are currently no low gaps to hold lloy back, I note a 44.98 gap was created 12/13 Jan, guess it will get closed around YE results next week.

Would like to see Lloyds some where near that gap for sure . Only to take some pain away to us long suffering share holders.

It was pretty clear for years if you get car dealer/ instores on the knock is dearer than getting a bank loan !! so why have we got to bail out the idiots who knew what they were signing up to , what's

next washing machines ,freemans ,argos ,paypal credit ,when are people going to be responsible for own actions ?

In Italy you have to work to collect X amount of stamps to be able to claim when not working if you do not have X amount you get £0

Forgot to add Bloke 4 doors down from me used to be so all benefits till backend of last year they found him a job he was out of work for 15 years his daughter has just dropped her 4th child been given a new build home here partner yes you guessed it unemployed both in there early 20s

By the way i have worked all my life mainly as a builders labourer but with aches & pains gave up 1 year ago as the physical work to builders body is in reversible

so i decided to put my money into dividend paying stocks to see me through till retirement but with Hunt killing that part off & share price depreciation of the stocks the dividend has no way covered the lost.

I know some are doing ok good on you but there is a lot that are not

1 across from me 2dogs 2kids in there 20s she does few hours he does not work

1 person i have meet his brother works he has a dog smokes weed all day & gets more income than his brother

Another near me dad works 2 kids about 18 sell weed think they are gangsters

women 2 girls 1 son she has some sort of dole so house paid for 1 girl works the other had a kid & got her own flat son in & out of work.

This list goes on & thats with about 50/60 houses & i do not know everyone.

Oh & there is a total scummy family in a 4 bed council house.

FT up 70+ and lloyds can not manage a good sprint

The most recent news tells us that CFO James Hopkinson is the latest to leave the sinking (or maybe refloating) ship.

But we found out something in December that I think is cause for cautious optimism. At one stage, it looked like Metro Bank might have to sell off its residential mortgage book to survive.

But we’ve since heard that the firm’s “recent capital package and cost reduction plan … has renewed balance sheet strength.“

The board went on to say it had “considered a potential sale of up to £3bn of residential mortgages and concluded that, given the prevailing market environment, it is in the best interests of shareholders to retain the existing loan portfolio.“

Looks like the Christmas pantomime has started late this year at Lloyds
