I’ve been here since early May, hold over 100k shares, would be devastating to be a trader and not be able to buy in on the release of news here! How people can risk it I do not know...

Result of General Meeting

Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on CD4, infectious diseases and food intolerance testing, announces, further to the announcement of 19 June 2020, the passing of the Resolutions at the General Meeting held earlier today. The Placing, Subscription and Open Offer remain conditional on Admission of the New Ordinary Shares to AIM which is expected to take place at 8.00 a.m. Monday 13 July 2020.

Voting details
The vote for Resolution 1 was carried out as a poll on the basis of proxies received and the votes of those present (45,789,393 for and 167,575 against, with 54,677 votes withheld), and on the basis of such poll it was resolved that Resolution 1 as contained in the Notice be passed as an Ordinary Resolution.

The vote for Resolution 2 was carried out as a poll on the basis of proxies received and the votes of those present (45,789,393 for and 167,575 against, with 54,677 votes withheld), and on the basis of such poll it was resolved that Resolution 2 as contained in the Notice be passed as a Special Resolution.

Total Voting Rights
With effect from Admission the Company will have 178,153,110 Ordinary Shares in issue, with no shares held in treasury. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator by which they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

Because a big chunk of the placing is conditional on shareholder approval. There may have even been a **** up not realising 60% of the placing needed shareholder approval, which I’m still not sure why.

If they have forward sold all the placing shares, if the share price got to £1 and the placing got voted down it would cost them a fortune to cover the short if the 40p placing shares don't go through to cover. If the share price stays here they win whether the shares get approved or not. Just a theory, if it starts flying after 10th will support the theory.

For those who are concerned about the SP in the short term, please read the original post on this thread kindly composed by MerchantBanker.

Omega Diagnostics, in my view have been open and honest and not ‘rampy’ about all their doings so far since I invested back in April. They are understated with a superb product, unlike other Covid plays which are the opposite, ‘rampy with no product’. My thoughts are in unison with Merchant Banker’s post here, in that for the good and future of this company and shareholders, it pays as a safety barrier for Omega for current SP to be at this level and it will likely see a ‘sustainable’ rise after AGM once placing funding is banked. From then on, it’s orders, orders, orders and SP up, up, up. We’ve all been pretty patient so far, just a little longer and we all will be rewarded - handsomely!!

Loads of great posts and reassuring facts available from the main posters here again today, you know who you are! ;)

I feel that many here maybe becoming impatient, resulting in doing nothing but questioning why they are invested in ODX, but actually knowing all the fundamentals of this company. Their products, the new business model and the new HUGE increase in revenue is just around the corner. Not forgetting improving profit margins and reducing overheads. We’ve been over everything on this BB more than once. I know, that you know, that this is going to be a monster of company in the not so distant future. I for one am more than comfortable with my reasons for INVESTING (not trading) in this company and will stay INVESTED well into next year +. For those who are waiting for Design Freeze thinking they will cash out or heavily slice, why not take a look at Novacyt’s history (RNS’s) and share price from early to mid February onwards where they were at a similar stage to where we are now. A lot may be bored here, have been over the same old questions and answers, so might find this something refreshing to look at/research. It may benefit you, what’s the harm in looking?!

We are so close now, don’t throw all your patience away for a quick buck, this could be an investment of a lifetime for some!!

Upon reflection, I feel my previous comment was a bit off the cuff. I maybe should have worded it in such a way as to say that ‘would be happy to use any SPARE capacity to produce for the right price’. I agree in hindsight to my comment that this is going to be very unlikely anyway due to the HUGE demand we’re about to see, unless the soon to be incoming cash flow would allow for further upscaling of manufacturing facilities for the future.
