I can't tell if you're joking or not? What do you thinks happening at the site? It firing out of the ground like some sort of underground atomic blast? Even when they try to, they'll struggle to flow any helium due to mud caking the tiny diameter hole and you make it out as if helium is mustard gas haha you do realise people breathe pure helium in for fun with no side effects?
Plus I think when it's 30°c I think wearing a mask to prevent someone from getting a cough especially when they're out in the open air and around loud machinery where communication is key is pretty dumb
I don't even see the point in selling at £2. H&P estimate that depending on the discount given and the price per MCF, these 4 sites could be worth well over £2 and given that the price of He is close to $400, that's looking likely. Plus, these are just 4 sites. HE1 have at least another 16 more and then two more smaller prospecting areas and then on top of that, 4% He = 138 BCF, 4.9% = 520 BCF.. 10.6% is bubbling to the surface, if we can get close to that which is looking possible (2.2% at 70m on an uncalibrated machine where the soil is loose and struggles to hold much He indicates that it'll be much greater where there is an actual trap and greater pressure) then £2 will be looking fairly cheap imo. If that's what you're comfortable with then of course, go for it, but don't sell a stock with an even greater potential to throw at a stock that might give you a far smaller return on far worse fundamentals
Shame because it might've sent a more liquidity our way but oh well, won't make a major difference. I think the majority of people realise the the Fool is all about and don't take it too seriously
£15 (Trek and ST are de-ramping)
I'm hoping for the tomorrow :) Bear in mind, they're drilling 24/7 now at 10m an hour I think and DM isn't going to be sitting around over there, there is one of the biggest events in his life; the first discovery of helium by HE1 and will help net him millions upon millions over the next few years so he'll be working hard to make sure the relevant work is carried out in a timely manner. Not saying 100% it's being announced tomorrow, but this has happened before so fingers crossed! If not, then definitely within this next week
Jonesy, I think so mate :) Once a helium show is confirmed at Tai it'll heavily de-risk the rest of the project and there's some solid evidence already showing that Tai will be successful and that's probably why DM has flown out there. Get through this next week or so and I think it's mostly plain sailing after that, especially after the other three sites have proven production-grade helium
Dai, very true mate but I'm sure we'll all be rewarded handsomely :)
Mike, because the contract has already been signed and everything is in motion. The HE1 team, although from the sounds of it they were 90% certain it was going to succeed, they never knew for certain so obviously they're going to drill multiple sites to see what works. Plus doing it this way saves a tremendous amount of time and money else they would have to mobilise and demobilise at every site then have to wait a few months for every new site for the rig to become available and be shipped all the way over, which would add to the costs, and then having to re-hire loads of staff and equipment and then get all of that shipped out for road and pad clearing etc etc. This more drawn out but definitely the better approach really
Another great post Trek, many thanks
I honestly think that that tweet of him at the airport was a very, very sly way of telling everyone that they've struck the motherload; the trip to the site is a long, fairly expensive and potentially dangerous one with quite a few restrictions at the minute due to Covid so I can't see him going on a 5 hour flight to Turkey, sit around for a couple hours, then a 6/7 hour maybe longer flight to Tanzania to then going on a 2 day car journey (unless he gets a smaller connecting flight) just to get to the campsite and help them calibrate the gas chromatograph machine.
Big news incoming within the next week or so, very exciting stuff, I just hope we can get to 30p and then really see an explosion upwards upon announcement of a gas show
I hope all is well with you son but I believe we were just in the right place at the right time. I only found this after watching a Guy Martin video about helium which made me wonder, do a Google search and hey there was Helium One. Funny'll enough, I went back to the video (as I forgot to watch the rest) and about 10 seconds he in-directly mentions HE1 (he mentions that a new, large reserve of helium has been found in Tanzania). I've never had any worries with this stock and I believe everyone here now in a few years time will be reaping the major rewards!
