I'm not sure the USA is going to want higher rates just at the time they need to refinance debt that was priced originally in a much lower rate environment.

My guess, is that they will want to 'engineer' lower rates at the point of refinancing.

Yeah, I think TLW managed to renegotiate their debt which many were saying wasn't going to Happen and it was starting to be priced to going bust / zombie company.

As they managed to renegotiate their debt last week, that was almost perfect timing to see a re rate in the SP.

I missed the entry there and I'm not 100% they will be out of the woods if oil drops back they'll probably end up like a zombie company simply existing to pay back fhe banks.

But in a higher oil environment it becomes an attractive 'recovery play' as the SP has been HAMMERED so much over the past decade former holder jump back in and folk average down and when the traders join the party it's getting a.very nice bounce.

From memory, I think around $65 per barrel is around breakeven for them, so anything above and they have a chance.

I'm holding through & buying the dips as with the trade tarrif wars causing the market dips last year these things bounce back quickly and for reasons above I expect the PM's to be first out the blocks in an inflationary environment

It's thinly traded so needs some really good news.

They do have the JV and link with RIO but I'm guessing the multitude of assets is proving difficult for the average trader to see where the main focus should be.

Well I don't really know what to make of this article.
