Boohoo, M&S, Boots, Amazon, track and trace, registered items, packets and parcels, letters all well and truly up in our office, can honestly say through my personal experience, between this time last year and present, we are as busy now in our office, as we were this time last year, onwards and upwards, our office megga megga busy.
Wouldn't bank on it
Cannot believe how heavy the parcels were at work today, just got home from work, having been in and done an 8hr shift on overtime, sorting and delivering tracked parcels..... Going to be megga busy tomorrow ??
Post early, we wouldn't then be delivering Christmas cards in January
I 2nd that, well said dynamofc, I also have nothing more to add, other than us posties, as well as myself, are doing our best.
Commensense5, I have to agree with you, it's plain to see in our office, we are as busy now with parcels, tracks, door 2 doors, register items, packets and letters, as we were this time last year, we now also collecting parcels from customers doors, which has increased enormously, I even worked yesterday putting in 6 hours, delivering tracked parcels, as that is what the customer is asking for, and whilst I personally myself don't work 7 days a week, it is there for those of us who want it. Delivering a 1st class service, to out rival our competitors.
Being a front line postie for 30+ yrs, I have seen the changes going on recently at my office alone, trust me on this, change is happening, this Share price is only going to go one way in the longer term, yes its volatile at the moment going up down, up down, up down, 3 - 5 yrs from now, I can see this at least £10 per share, upwards and onwards, my office are all pulling together, singing from the same hymn sheet, we respect our manager and our manager respects us, its all about trusting and respecting your manager, go to work with a positive attitude, and go home in the same frame of mind.
Teamlh, thanks for asking, and yes I am personally, more than happy with the state of play, however I am in for the longer term investment, going to keep reaping the rewards with all the dividends, onwards and upwards
Like I stated in an earlier post, my manager or DOM, says every day to myself, I'm an asset to the company, and it's not just myself he says that to, there's an army of us, our manager gives us the respect, and we respect our manager, it works both ways, maybe your office, needs to get its office in perspective, as a saying goes, a happy work force is a happy office, go to work with a positivie mind, come home from work with a positive mind. I won't be drawn into a slanging match with beatrootjuice or oligarch, just let me get on with doing a job I'm dedicated to
Beatrootjuice, truth of the matter being, is that I sleep, eat, drink, and breathe Royal Mail, its in my blood, my great grandfather, grandfather, grandmother, my father, uncle, cousins, have all worked for this very proud, great British public service, also my son is now working for Royal mail, I am no saint as your led to believe, just Dedicated to my employer, as for yourself and oligarch why are you picking on me, I'm doing the job I love, I am personally looking after my family and customers, if I get paid overtime, then why you get so worked up, it's not coming out of your pay packet, I'm looking after loved ones at end of the day, supporting my family, sorry you feel this way towards myself, but I'm gonna carry on being dedicated towards myself regardless.
Thanks for your kind advice teamlh, truth of the matter being, is like my DOM keeps telling me, I'm an asset to the company, I certainly not going to be offended by garbage from oligarch,.
Someone will quote me if I'm wrong, dividend I think is 20p, with dividend payments in January and July
I have to agree 100%, what a miserable sad person you really are, I have been to work today delivering tracked parcels to members of the public, 4 hrs worked making sure Royal Mail are delivering what they promise, Sunday parcel deliveries, that's what the public want, and that's what the public are getting, next you be having a pop at me for working on Sundays.
Yes would you mind please explaining to myself, what you mean in,( I hope that you didn't book overtime) for the greater good?
Oligarch, I chose to work my annual leave, and my days off, for the simple reason being, myself and my family couldn't book to go away anywhere .... I made the desicion to go into work, to keep deliveries running in my office, due to covid there were many sick absentees making our office short staffed, and like I previously stated in an earlier post, we were a lifeline to the public, and yes I was paid overtime for all those long hours worked, why shouldn't I, I'm also going into work today delivering tracked parcels and its Sunday,
A 1st class service, which I am very proud to work for. Happy Birthday wishes
Why would I want to book annual leave, when there was a pandemic, and I couldn't go anywhere, I felt the country needed royal mail, as we were a lifeline to many elderly people, so I personally put in long hours, keeping the country going
I Cannot remember me mentioning, me carrying any days over, please read my posts properly before assuming
No doubt she would be most grateful, for your act of kindness and generosity, we all pulled together during the pandemic, some of us including myself, working all our days off, including annual leave for that year.
