Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
The only way all investors will see a return is sucess through more exploration. Revenue from first gas is at least 2 years off which will more than keep the lights on, especially if we reduce to a skeleton staff. How many drills can we afford to drill if any in the meantime?
I see JP getting the deal signed off and then leaving.
On that we will always agree.....it would be great to see them in the premier league. I know many life long fans who have travelled here there and everywhere and given their last pennies to the club, devout and rather mad. We would get smashed every week but who cares, the fans have earnt it.
Totally agree mahat. What I don't agree with is those who believe this company is doomed. Far from it in my view but I no longer believe JP is the right man to take it forward. Imo we are here for 1-2 years at least. IF we do indeed have more exploration and success then this could change very quickly. That's if indeed we do drill, as at this point in time we know feck all about what/if anything is planned
Ericnat....malcy gave 17p which apparently JP in an email exchange agreed with.

There are plenty of reasonable questions that need answering. The trouble is a minority have decided to convey their anger/frustration to the company in the form of abuse and death threats, which might make them feel better for a few minutes but achieves sod all. Nothing wrong with constructive criticism and such like but how interested after these last few days are they going to be with comms. Who would organise an investor event thinking they or one of their staff are going to get a crack or worse. I wouldn't mind seeing a fsc organised but that would probably get swamped by the pond life as well. They may as well take a leaf out of most other companies book and not bother, it's no skin off their nose.
Mahat……...Once I know how much exploration is planned, where, timelines and when we can expect first gas/payments, I might feel better about yesterdays announcement. The price is a joke, we are worth much more but it is what it is. We are in a state of limbo at the moment.
As Osborne once commented "we are all in this together".....or perhaps not.
The vote is simply a legal necessity, it will undoubtedly go through. My question is, now that we are going to be a third party carried, non-operating company, when will we find out what our "partners" have planned for Eastern Morocco. Will it be before or after the vote or never?
Seadoc….The price going higher than todays finish will not be a miracle and you full well know it. Getting all her investment back is another question. What is the point in getting out now when you are 90% down if you don't need to. How low can you sink.
JC....Its anyone guess but perhaps we did get a half decent offer, certainly not one that everyone would have liked but one that quite a maybe a few would have taken. Marco and his chums might have thought differently, it will be interesting to see who our "partners" will be and who owns them. If continental have anything to do with yesterdays announcement and are involved with the "privately-owned, UK registered company specialising in energy asset development and investment" then we have been stitched up imo. Too many unknowns at the moment, given that, the disappointment of no deal, an unsigned GSA, FID and no announcement on what our future plans are, its no wonder the market has reacted how it has. Its going to be a few months possibly longer before we have a better understanding of what's going on and where we stand. The announcement of a drill program and timelines might help for starters not emails whinging about unpleasant comms.
I know he only committed for so long but it sounds like his bottle has gone, some people's who's egos won't allow the to admit their mistakes. He was here to add value and now look at the price. I'm guessing FID, GSA and this deal signed off and he will be away on his toes. You can bet wherever he lands next there won't be fsc's, site visits, investor events, email replies, golden tickets and ducks in a row.
The poor thing has been getting abuse, you could call me all the names under the sun for the money he's on. The police, paramedics, traffic wardens, prison officers and many other people earning a fraction of this guy put up with it week in week out and worse, it comes with the territory, he was happy lapping it up when we were flying high. Sounds like an excuse to me for his failings.
The company will be entering a new phase soon, probably the best time for a clear out and a new start. Once you have lost the trust of investors then it's time to go. I wonder if he will tough it out and try to prove people wrong, it doesn't look like it.
