@mrzeroh glad you are benefitting from Cinemark's strength, probably the best positioned out of the big three. I'm gonna ride CNK all the to the 22-23 mark then bail. Hopefully, CINE will finally run the end of next week, I'm probably going to sell at 80 for CINE as can see bargains to be had in the Auto sector. DYOR
@IDW, Yes, but it doesn't matter if you infect people really, as long as they aren't hospitalised. The beauty of a vaccine pardre.
I'm going to hold both this and CNK over the weekend. The negative sides are starting to dwindle. The vaccine will be rolled out across America next week. Momentum starting to build finally.
The EU is the worlds biggest trading bloc, it makes absolutely no sense to become separated from that. Consider this, you are a successful retailer in the largest shopping mall, your fees are high but it's negated by customer exposure. Now you decide paying high fees isn't for you and want to go it alone and not pay high fees. You decide to settle somewhere on the edge of town, your fees are now low but you've got f* all custom. This world is about money, nothing more, nothing less.
Bozo never wanted a deal for anyone wondering. That's why they messed around with the agreed terms and started moving the goalposts. This tory gov like others care diddly squat for the majority of the UK. Only the elites. There will be no deal. Been saying all along. The billionaires will hoover everything up (including CINE shares) while nobody is watching. Everything will go back to normal eventually but they'll be 5x a rich as before.
Took a punt on Cinemark as well today after deciding AMC was too risky. Hold both CINE and CNK,. Tbh I thought Disney may pull the rug after WB news, glad they kept the faith! Exposes WB now, wouldn't be surprised if they backtracked. Should open high tomorrow folks!
very mature
Buying into AMC still very cheap even with the amount of debt they hold.
If anyone's interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owveMJBTc2I&feature=youtu.be official FDA chat.
I think the likely hit will be tempered by positive FDA news (assuming it's positive). FDA starts at 2pm UK time, Disney starts at 2.30pm. Fluctuations likely haha.
Saudi Arabia has given the Pfizer vaccine a green light. https://asia.nikkei.com/Spotlight/Coronavirus/Coronavirus-Free-to-read/Coronavirus-latest-Saudi-Arabia-registers-Pfizer-vaccine-for-use
Disney-produced films tallied more than $3.72 billion at the US Box office in 2019. Can't see them jeopardizing that in any way. They accounted for 33% of all cinema revenue in the US 2019. A more sensible decision would be for them to buy one of the big ailing chains for a discount. Imagine the merchandising opportunity.
I have the feeling we'll see a late rally in preparedness for FDA news today. Hoping for a late uptick towards 65-66 with a strong open tomorrow. Thoughts?
EspecialC gets it obviously. Already down 3% as it's being pulled by the market. If the proverbial hits the fan this will tank hard no question. I want to state I'm in at 52, but can easily see 20% being wiped off with no deal. Look at the WB news, knocked off 18% at one point. It was pretty obvious studios needed to not put their eggs in one basket. BUT because it's so heavily in debt and shorted it's highly sensitive.
youtube.com/watch?v=hmnkutTvQnI watch this by Stephen Fry. Sometimes you need to look beyond your bonnet. I know all too well how long you have to hold this bag. When it tanks it tanks hard. Come and lambast me tmrw if they secure a deal, no problem with that, I will hold my hands up.
Essentially, it's not a question of will it recover, (we've seen it will) more an opportunity to buy much lower, say if your average is 55p or higher. My gut feeling is Boris has never wanted a deal, his rich billionaire buddies will profit wildly from a no-deal brexit.
because it will massively affect the UK Stockmarket which CINE is a part of. And this being one of the most shorted means it's particularly vulnerable to swings.
Inevitably a down day today, FTSE down, waiting for the no-deal to hit. I wonder how will be knocked off this share price? Could we see low 40s again tmrw if no deal is the conclusion?
What do we think chaps, do we really think Boris and his pals want a deal?
