Note the comment from Zak Mir, albeit with a typo.
Those are huge quantities of oil and gas for such tiny areas and highlight how attractive the rest of Block XI B has now become for a much bigger farmout deal. Hopefully GOG Ltd will make an early start on drilling once they have finished evaluating the seismics.
Chesh seems to be missing in action. Hope he’s OK but in the meantime a little reminder as to why the gas can be monetised immediately: https://mobile.twitter.com/BlockEnergyplc/status/1512008244025298957/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1512008244025298957%7Ctwgr%5Eaae0921b5e2828668bd1f63589d5a715cccd46d0%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fpublish.twitter.com%2F%3Fquery%3Dhttps3A2F2Ftwitter.com2FBlockEnergyplc2Fstatus2F1512008244025298957widget%3DTweet
Let’s not forget that unlike many other wells which have no gas infrastructure nearby the significant gas discovery they have here can be monetised immediately thanks to the gas pipeline which was laid to the well site some time ago. We should be thankful that they had the foresight to do that, and that is why there have been several decent buys today despite some of them appearing in red thanks to the spread.
The well is clearly not a complete disaster, only encountering problems when they got to 2275m and there’s clearly some pay coming from the section up to that: “ Intermittent testing has produced some dry oil with zero water cut and high gas volumes, despite the wellbore issue. The well will now enter an extended well test period during which oil and gas will be sold whilst data is acquired to optimise the completion design.” No reason to sell imo and let’s see what figures they provide in the quarterly update.
There’s still a lot of snow in the mountains but the well site should be OK. More to the point that late reported 2m buy might be an indication of some positive developments.
Chesh have any of the market makers changed their positions since it appeared?
As you mentioned literacy bitsas004, perhaps I should point out that the word you wanted is spelt ‘believe’ not ‘beleave’, and you obviously aren’t very good at geography either. Otherwise you would know that cities are generally warmer than their surrounding countryside. Here’s just one of many articles on the subject: https://theconversation.com/why-are-cities-warmer-than-the-countryside-53160 . Also Tbilisi is at a low altitude in a deep river basin compared to the surrounding countryside - which is more likely to be affected by snow.
I doubt that it’s affected the latest well site much as it’s not in the hills, but BLOE’s base at Dido Lilo is, and is only accessible by minor roads, so I am just saying that it is likely that they would have had difficulty in delivering items such as casing for the well bore, a Christmas tree for the well head, and storage tanks to the well site.
Having said that I am not here to make excuses for the company, and am as frustrated as anyone else that they have not sought fit to update us since the tweets dried up over a month ago. I am just trying to suggest some logical reasons for the silence, and the Nomad being absent from his desk is another one.
burnbankbrian, I’ve called the Nomad multiple times this week about the issue but it’s gone to voicemail every time, so I dropped him an email yesterday morning, to which I’ve had no response.
Got to wonder if the lights are still on at Spark Advisory Partners, and if not that would explain the lack of any RNS until BLOE can find themselves a new Nomad.
For the benefit of the snow deniers, just take a look at this and page down to see the different dates:https://agenda.ge/en/news/2023/734
You should be prepared to cut the company a bit of slack in the circumstances imo.
A retrace was inevitable today and the market makers played a blinder to flush out weaker holders by walking the bid down to 2.3, but it ticked back up to 2.4 by the end of play, so they might well push it back up tomorrow imo.

Then tell me that there will not have been issues at the well site.
