Endless patience needed. There was no update on Blythe and Elgood. One wonders if they are still in deep dooh dooh there as well.
As confirmed again today's RNS, the reason these pockets of gas were not developed years ago is that they are difficult, marginal geologies.
Not the same thing. Stable production figures are many weeks, even months after 1st gas.
Maybe they will grow production or msybe they will announce further delays. Q4 update due later this month will confirm either way. Hard to see SP growing if production remains flat. They have again said they will start paying a dividend - that would help!
Selling usually means progress offshore is not great. Might be a few weeks before the next RNS comes out and we get some insight on where they are. I am already assuming it might be a while before there is meaningful production increase.
Bottom end of guidance and 1st gas from Southwark into 2023. At least they are earning some cash.
Share price movement often reflects the RNS about to land. Hard to keep production and exploration news hidden. Doesn't look like Santa is bringing any gifts this year.
Seems no-else will.
Great interview with Malcy. However it does fell like déjà vu - just like one year ago.
Maybe production figures wil give a bit more confidence to the market. Main message I get is that they have enough cash for now.
Look forward to the next monthly update when we might learn what production rate has been achieved after all the (miss-fortune) of the last 12 months.
Always long on medical and science detail but hard to work out whether this will one day translate into shareholder return.
(Gas production rate isn't "manipulated" - it is just not great)
Once again listed in LSE as Enrgy.
It's tough if you have to sell now. I am hoping to see a return by next year. I did by some below 100 so my average is improving.
Current production is below the half year report guidance for this period. Hmmm.
need more than 10% rise. 100% would be okay
The medium term outlook seems good and SPT reform is certainly a help. I hope we are in the 20s within a year
No shortage of stock
Might regret this! I wonder if there is bad news coming.
Noting some of the recent chat from investors who might not have direct experience of wells.... Wells are holes into porous rock. Often many different layers (or zones) of rock. Each layer of rock might have different contents and pressures. There is only so much that can be done from exploration drilling and modelling and then you start production and see what happens. There is a lot that can be done to isolate zones to determine where a problem may lie and then plug it by a sleeve or packer ... but generally on a reactive basis.
I don't have any direct info on what is going on in IOGs well but the saline issue is not unusual.
