New contract.

The framework contract runs until the end of 2021 and has a total order volume of approx. EUR 1.8 to 5.3 million, depending on installation and commissioning by the federal states.
Prior to this, adKor GmbH, together with their system partners, had won tenders for emergency backup power equipment of over 400 radio tower sites with hydrogen fuel cells in different federal states. For these radio tower site projects SFC Energy delivers the hydrogen fuel cell modules to adKor GmbH as a subcontractor.
Looking forward, there are plans to equip up to 1,500 radio tower sites all across Germany. This first nationwide program demonstrates the increasing importance of hydrogen fuel cells as a valid and reliable alternative to conventional Diesel generators to provide power to critical infrastructures. We see major potential for them as power and back-up power sources also in many other industrial applications,

Not promoting plug just showing potential gains of a fuel cell company.

We’re not the only company with an optimistic outlook, market potential is fantastic.
Earlier this fall, Latham- New York-headquartered fuel cell manufacturer Plug Power (NASDAQ: PLUG) announced plans to boost revenues from around $240 million today to $1 billion by 2024.

A pioneer in the fuel cell space, the company said it would achieve that goal by growing its materials handling business and diversifying into on-road vehicles, drones and other next-generation fuel cell applications.

Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh revealed more details about how the company aims to hit the $1 billion mark during a conversation with FreightWaves on Nov. 21.

That exchange took place a couple of weeks after Plug Power met analysts’ third quarter earnings expectations by reporting an $0.08 per-share adjusted loss. The manufacturer lost $13.2 million in the third quarter but was positive $2.5 million on an EBITDA basis (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization).

Multiple revenue streams key to EV charging infrastructure financing.

Ongoing fears over EV charging utilisation rates have thrust multiple revenue streams towards the top of infrastructure operator needs for financing.

That was a key takeaway from a panel discussion on financing EV charging infrastructure at the Everything EV Live London conference this week.

The risk associated with EV chargers due to there being a chance the infrastructure is under-utilised and therefore unable to turn a substantial enough profit - or any profit – is one of the challenges to securing funding, Jim Totty, managing partner at Earth Capital said.

“There is still a risk profile that doesn’t quite fit with mainstream infrastructure markets and the particular risk is the utilisation risk, but that will be solved. It has to be solved if we are to see the rollout we all are hoping for over the next ten years,” he said.

The panelists agreed that revenue stacking, for instance as suggested by Abundance’s investments manager Ainsley Barker, through rapid charging hubs that feature a more typical forecourt experience with shops and cafes to produce extra revenue, could be a way of soothing investors’ utilisation fears.

A new Conservative government would plough an additional £500 million into EV charging infrastructure and new electric vehicles, ensuring there was a chargepoint within 30 miles of each home in England and Wales.

While not explicitly mentioned within Johnson’s speech, further detail supplied by the Conservative Party detailed an additional £500 million of funding for electric vehicles and associated infrastructure, coming on top of the £400 million Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund (CIIF) that is up and running.

No further details have yet been provided about how the rollout of infrastructure would happen however, including the nature of that finance and whether or not it would be established in a similar way to the CIIF. Indeed, that funding will also contribute toward the Plug-in Van Grant Scheme and “research and development into low and zero emission technology", the Tories said, with no breakdown provided into how that finance would be divided.

It has always puzzled me with the hype of some companies. Like you say, it’s whats vogue at that time. I found a recent article which tickled me. I think some of these big companies forget about the intelligent British scientists who start out in small units or sheds.

The company has kept control in Canada of its core technology — the membrane electrode assembly known as the heart of a fuel cell.

“We’ve invested over US$1 billion in our core intellectual property and so it’s going to take someone a significant investment and a significant period of time in order to get to where we are today,” he says. “By that time, of course, we’ve moved the yardsticks on our technology.”

Take a look at Ballard power, never posted a profit in 40 years but has a market cap of 1 billion. Shares reached $200 per share in the tech boom in 2000. Anything can happen with the fight fizz about it. Bit coin eg.
There certainly is a bit of a buzz about hydrogen as the way forward, I think oily, miner and gold stocks are on the way out and green tech is the next hot topic.

This has been for us long term holders. Ive been invested in Afc what seems like for ever and bought shares from 1p upto 30p never sold out over the 10+ years of holding. My belief in this technology seems to be turning into a reality and I am more than pleased to be a share holder of which could be a world leading British company. I think the worst is behind us all now, the employees have done a most impressive job even tho we had abit of a rethink.
It’s been one hell of a ride and I wish AFC and all investors the best of luck for the next 10 years.
