George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.
I hope the SP does rise, but the IPO was a freak situation, because the general public were able to buy at the IPO. This never really happens and everyone was trying to get some to dump them at an inflated price after the initial listing.
I wasn't refering to you (Eddie563) when I said DYOR. That was for some of the sheep on here who seem to be easily influenced by what is posted and who also seem to believe everyone who claims they have just piled more cash in to average down every time the SP plummets.
Hi Sajad,
Re new direction. The crypto side of things is not new here. QBT (as CLP) have been targeting crypto mining for over 3 years with basically no gain. Just constant talk and no action. As for quantum computing, FG will be retired before anything significant happens in this area.
You better watch. Some people on here used to hang onto every word from old RKB, with his cryptic nonsense. People never seem to learn. DYOR and don't be influenced by what you read here. The often used line was "John Story knows what he's doing" or "he's no fool" to justify why some were invested in as it was then, CLP.
No offence to any locals, but SGZ will seriously struggle to get staff on those wages where they are located. For most people it's the middle of nowhere. Lovely if you are wealthy or just visiting for a short time, but not long term scraping a living. Where on earth do they even live on that money? They would have to build digs like an army camp and bring in desperate foreign workers.
IBM and others allow access via the cloud to their Quantum computers. Maybe FG will surprise us all and outdo the big players in this field, but it is a huge maybe. It will be years yet before there are any big advances in Quantum computing. Yet, all of a sudden FG is going to take the Quantum computing world by storm, when he can't even organise crypto mining. As I have said before, why has he been involved with this company for all these years when he could have been making his fortune mining crypto or developing AI etc?
They have probably lost their crypto mining portakabin. That'll be why nothing is happening. They will have mislaid it somewhere in a field in Eastern Europe ??.
I simply add some sense to the utter tripe which is posted some of the time on here. Maybe the truth hurts.
Elon Musk can tweet whatever he wants. It is no relevance to QBT. They don't mine anything. Anyone care to update us on the price of gold or lithium or whatever takes their fancy, because they are also of no relevance to QBT. Maybe we should pay attention to the price of silver because FG has a silver coloured car.
That's a huge IF. That's why this is a very risky share.
You say "... no one else has this..." Has what? QBT don't have anything. It's all hot air again. Same as it has been for years. Nothing new here.
If anyone is having trouble buying the shares, I suggest changing broker. These shares are easy to buy and sell (all the time). Or, maybe people just like to post about how they can't get a trade completed to try and convince others that something is happening in the background. Ooh, the drama!
Chip production! That is more laughable pie in the sky stuff from them. The companies in this industry spend billions designing and manufacturing chips. The reason we have a big chip shortage in the market just now is because the manufacturers cannot just ramp up production at short notice when demand increases. This, sadly, is more waffle from FG.
Nothing new here. QBT, under various guises, have been around over 20 years and they just bumble along talking the talk, but never producing the goods. That's why this share is a big gamble. If you can afford to lose the money it is worth the risk.
Too many absolutely nonsensical posts about this share and why it will suddenly rocket. Changing the name makes no difference. It is the same company. Do not believe most of the rubbish posted from people who claim to know the bigger picture. Or, who claim to have invested x amount, or average down everytime the SP dips.
You would think FG would be tired of all this and be ready to retire at his age. He must have made a few quid over the years.
The quantum stuff is years away as well and as I have said before, if FG is such a computer genius, why has he not made a fortune from mining crypto himself. It's not new. Some posters also mention ARB in the same breath as QBT, but they are not even remotely close to each other. ARB are walking the walk whilst QBT just dither.
The court case is up again soon, but that doesn't mean anything will be settled. May just get delayed again. No doubt as it gets nearer the usual posts will appear about how "an out of court settlement will be made" and "the SP is sure to take off". A bit like the silly posts linking most of the specialist computing facilities in Northern Italy and Switzerland to QBT because FG taught at a uni in Italy.
If QBT want to make money short term, then they need to mine BTC and some other cryptocurrencies whilst they have any value, but the clock is ticking and they still offer nothing. This should be something they can fix in the blink of a eye, but we are still waiting after nearly 3 years.
Good luck all.
Yeah. There are almost 16 billion shares.
Yeah.
Too many posters with nonsense about how the SP will soar because of some spurious or tenuous link. Or how someone mysterious trader is taking a position because of similar large trades (which aren't large in the grand scheme of things). Or, how the SP will surely hit a made up price in a few weeks on the back of nothing. Or, sea of blue, when the SP is actually dropping.
This is a long term gamble. Simple as that.
No more share dilution. They already have over 32 billion shares. That's twice the number Apple have.
What size were the large trades?
Deep Heat was mentioned by a recent poster in reply to an earlier post.
CBX can have a so called Premiership team behind the scenes, but it's the products that matter, not the team behind them. Consumers will buy or not buy based on their needs and how they value the products. They don't really care about some so called business expert they have never heard of behind the scenes.
You can create a whole new club in football and buy success if you chuck enough money at it, but this does not work in business. If the products are just another branded version of what is already available and they are expensive, then consumers will lose interest very quickly. It is like the new products which are on offer in supermarkets when first launched. They generate interest because they are new and quite often really good products, but as soon as the initial offer ends, the demand for them disappears, because consumers just can't or won't pay the over the odds. Then the products are discounted to shift the remaining stock and not stocked again.
You also see examples of this on Dragons Den or during lockdown. People launch a new business which in effect is just re-packaging an already available item (like alcohol or sweets) and sell the stuff in fancy packaging and charge premium pricing. It has limited success and a very limited market. It's like the people behind it live in a bubble world surrounded by people who tell them how amazing their "idea" is, whereas in the real world the "idea" gets shot to pieces.
Only time will tell with CBX. It's not going to be an overnight success, that's for sure.
If you look at Deep Heat product as a comparison. The product is from a long established company. That part of the company makes about £3 million profit per year, on a small range of products. This is for products which sell in pound shops.
CBX products will have a far higher selling price. Will they be able to sell at the premium price? Personally (and forget any of the usual de-ramper nonsense comments), I can't see there being much demand. I think if they took the products into the Dragons Den, they would be laughed out at the pricing they will likely charge. There is nothing unique about what they will sell and the market is completely saturated already.
I have to agree. I can't honestly see this share doing much. All hot air. It will take an awful lot of effort and many, many years for it to come good, if (and it's a huge if) it ever does. There is money to be made from Cannabis products, but I think CBX will be an expensive flop in the sector with less opportunity. People may disagree, but I see nothing encouraging. Having successfull people involved doesn't mean it will be a success.
Also, don't believe some of these posters who claim they have x amount invested. Or, claiming they have bought more when the price drops further. Anyone can claim this. As for averaging down. You are just pouring more money down the drain in most cases. Having a lower average buy price of something that is junk doesn't make you any wiser.
Exactly. The SP drops and posters are rushing to claim that MM's are playing games. Or some nonsense about shorting. Some saying it is close to being a bargain basement price. Do they not realise it is one of the largest SP increases on the AIM in recent months, even after today's drop.
As for CLP's expertise in computing. If they are such experts, then why was the previous attempt at crypto mining such a disaster and why are they years behind all the other crypto miners? I know someone who is an expert at painting, but he couldn't paint a masterpiece. Who exactly do they have working on any of the crypto or AI stuff? Never mind the quantum nonsense, which is pie in the sky stuff just now. If I was such an expert in computing (like some think FG is) I would have been mining cryptocurrency myself years ago instead of wasting my time working with CLP. I do laugh at all the mentions of computing labs at Uni's in Italy etc. Implying that they will be used by CLP for mining. Yeah, like they are interested in some tinpot AIM company talking about mining crypto.
Then there is the upcoming court case. The likelihood is that nothing will be decided, assuming it is not delayed further. Some seem to think that CLP will just turn up at court and be handed the money.
