I hate buybacks. Unless it's to trigger institutional investment I think it's normally for companies who have run out of ways to grow the business successfully. BP is a prime example.

Expecting the doubt about AUKUS future earnings will have a far more detrimental effect of RR SP than any positive effect from possible future SMR earnings unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong

Not concerned about the 'only' 2% rise. Continue on getting the business right (which they are across all divisions) and the SP will follow. It's a marathon not a sprint.

Having said that, if we were a US listed company we'd be 10% up today with a P/E of 40 (asking to GE Aerospace) rather than our 30 P/E haha. Apathetic Britain
