The longer we have to wait for drilling the higher the odds of a global recession and stock market crash in the interim, which would hit all stocks hard. Not guaranteed to happen this year, but markets do seem to be growing ever more weary particularly commodies and commodities stocks which are rolling over big time. Notable exception is precious metals, but they also suffered the same fate in 2008 when things really got going, so unless the dollar implodes I'm not certain they will escape this time either. A crash in 2020 is definitely not a certainty, but is an important risk to consider IMO especially when deciding on your portfolio exposure over the next 12-18 months.
