Normally I would agree with you regarding the Takeover rumours if it was reported in the Tabloids or Social media. However it was reported in the Financial Times which is normally well informed. It might not be people looking at a full Takeover but looking at different parts of the Company to buy or even merge.

I don't normally post my share choices online but I did mention maybe a takeover of Taylor Wimpey or other UK Housebilders on here. Your comments about year end share prices is rediculus. You don't buy or sell shares at one Pacific date. You judge weather you buy or sell at how the particular firm is doing at the moment taking account of business economies globally and at home.

My friend works for Jp Morgan in New York and American investors are flushed with money. They think a lot of UK Builders are under valued particular Taylor Wimpey.

The rumours that US companies are appling for a bid to takeover Taylor Wimpey is that true or not?

We all know that Bp and Shell are looking into Battery Storage with there huge profits and with Grid being the largest one in the UK with a steady progressive pipeline all ready this would be a good opportunity for the big boys to invest. Can an Investment Trust be taken over or do they just buy as many shares that are available to eventually have a majority holding?
