Thanks for that Abject
The biggest reward would be i could go to a different chat room , away from mandy!!!!!
So abject , am i right in saying
If i spent £10,000 tomorrow on PHNX shares , at today's share price of £5.154 , that would give me 1940 shares
The dividend i believe is 26 pence per share.
So that would give me a divi payment of £504 , that would cover my CWU subs all in one go!
Abject are my assumptions correct here , obviously there will be purchasing fee plus some tax
Abject thats interesting
I was considering LGEN myself , but mistimed it and missed the main divi , oh well
Abject , i must say thats a very thoughtful and considered approach you take to your share dealings , i believe your 10 to 30 year plan will bring you great reward. In many ways it reminds me of Joe , and his brilliant insights into the wonder of dividend reinvestment. You can learn so much good information on this board.
On the other hand some of the advice , mostly from mandy, is confused and muddled verbal garbage. His theory of buy high (£5) sell low is suicidal. What a loser.
Mandy when the market SP gets to £1.25 , i will buy all your shares of you , just to put you out of your misery
So mandy says "None of your business what I bought BT at. I don't discuss numbers. It's so common"
Despite the fact he has already spilled the beans and told us he bought in at £5 a share. I remember it well , because i bust a gut laughing when he said it - there is one born every minute.
You also stated "and will get out of BT as soon as I can practically do so." So prey tell , what does the BT SP have to get to before you cash out. If you think your going to get £5 you need to be sectioned.
I will tell you my cash out figure , just to be fair , £2 to £2.50 that would give me plenty of filthy lucre.
For gods sake mandy , get a grip
The slightist bit of negative news and it always you soiling your pants
Your latest pearl of widom "P.S. Forgot to mention that if the BT share price falls below 100p, you can kiss goodbye to dividend payments for at least three years"
Did Phillip Jansen tell you that? , or are you talking out of your orifice yet again.
Why are you a shareholder? , you dont have the knowledge , temperament or balls to handle it.
You are a dinosaur mandy , you dont even understand share divi reinvestment.Have you ever took the time to check out Joes graphs and charts?
Have a happy Halloween from the CWU
Fleccy , please allow me to give you some polite advice.
Your understanding of the street hub project is woeful. Not only are the numbers that BT install minuscule , they also cant sell the advertising on them, they are a non profit making loss leader that crime gangs love.
fleccy your area of excellence is in the enlightening of simple minds (mandy), on the wonder of dividend reinvestment. That combined with playing the long game , we will get our reward in 2030 , all things come to those that wait.
(just for the record i worked on the original inlinks project 5 years back , as a configuration engineer. Installing operating systems and software associated with these devices, So dont try to teach your grandmother how to suck eggs)
Good evening fleccy
As one of your links points out, Street hub was just a re branding (with a few design mods) of the previous BT in link installations. These newer devices usually have reduced functionality , in an attempt to reduce the anti social behavior they attract . Which include very nasty gangs controlling these devices for buying/selling drugs , Access to prostitution (im sure Mandy uses them) , and strangely enough they tend to attract homeless and rough sleepers at night , due to free internet connectivity. Which tends to upset local residents. Dont even mention the people that hang around them to watch porn. I see many of them vandalized and returned to BT to be repaired, i suspect the local residents just get sick of the behavior they attract.
BT inlink/Street hubs will not get the SP to £2
Additional on Street hubs

Fleccy , regarding BT inlink Street hubs
About 3 years ago these were being installed all over London mainly , but also other cities around the UK. It was a big project and was being pushed hard by senior BT managers,
Then stories started coming through of the hubs attracting extreme anti social behavior.Local gangs would take ownership of the hubs and use them for criminal activity , some of the stories are legendary.
Word got around the UK councils , now ,no authority will give permission to install these.
The Street Hub- In link project is dead in the water.

Sorry mandy i forgot to post this news last week
BT Pay Consultative Ballot Result
Detailed below is the outcome of the ballot on the proposed pay agreement as follows:
• Accepting the pay offer: 74% of valid votes
• Rejecting the pay offer: 26% of valid votes
Of the ballot papers dispatched, 61% were returned.
As a result of the above, confirmation has been given to BT to accept the proposed pay agreement and they will now take steps to implement this in September pay.
Below is a reminder of the agreement reached:
➢ A 2.5% pay increase that is fully consolidated and pensionable from the 1 September.
➢ A further 4% pay increase that is fully consolidated and pensionable from the 1 April 2024.
➢ As it is consolidated, it increases your hourly rate of pay which flows through to pay related payments such as overtime and bank holiday premiums.
➢ The next pay review date will be 1st April 2025.
All of this means that between April 2022 to April 2024 all team members will have received between circa 14%-23% pay rise, something that would not have been possible without the tremendous action members took last year.
Thanks to all of you who have participated in your pay ballot.
Yours sincerely
Andy Kerr
Deputy General Secretary
"Mandy what will you do with yourself when Bt hits £3.50 a share , we all sell up, and you’re stuck alone with no one to talk to waiting for your break even £5 price ?"
Good point Abject , our self proclaimed defender of the silent majority (hilarious) , sure knows fanny adams about share investment. (i still cant believe he bought in at £5 a share) A fool and his money .........

Thankyou for that Abject
Can i just make 1 correction to the following line
"The CWU has acknowledged that jobs will have to go but they will inevitably slow down the process and fight for the current arrangements in place since the 1984 privatization (VR = 2 years!!, no compulsory redundancies)."
The 1984 agreements on redundancy are no longer in place. The current agreement is voluntary redundancy is capped at a max of 1 years wages (not 2) , and the old agreement of absolutely no compulsory redundancy was withdrawn 2 years ago. Compulsory redundancy is now an option for BT.
But just to reassure mandy , we will fight the redundancy process , and also fend off any foreign hostile bid to take over BT.
Sleep tight little fella
Oh brother , Mandy know claims , "I am here to protect the silent majority"
Despite the fact he comes over as a lone wolf , swivel eyed loon , frothing at the mouth and howling at the moon.
Funny how the leader of the "silent majority" doesn't seem to get many likes , after his deranged posts
We all know Joe is our leader and messiah
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HB7zqP9QNo
Curdled blood and boiling p1 SS thats just gravy to mandy , he has that all the time with his Pedigree Chum
I think we should wait until mandy has had an opportunity to analyze the document , and give us his considered view.
I bet he ends up blaming either divi reinvestment , CWU or a woman CEO
My EQi ISA shows a price of 118.15 pence
Lovely bit of reinvestment
So Larry that would mean BT has paid out £536 million in Divis today , and if the next dividend is maintained at 2.31 pence per share. That would be a further £230 million , giving a total of £766 million in dividends paid this financial year.
Wowza that's a lot of dividend reinvestment , shame we missed out on mandys £200 dividend not being reinvested
