in the conference room I asked Gordon about waterflood and how long does it take.

He said the time it takes can vary a lot depending on how much needs to be pumped in and to see the changes.

So far it's going really well positive results.

I asked how long they been pumping water in and how much had been pumped in. I'm open to correction as I was feeling quite tired I'm sure he said 4-5 months and I think around 80000 bow had been pumped in .

The main thing I took from Gordon’s answer was that it's going really well they are noticing more and more wells charging .

So to me it does sound like waterflood is going to be a success from what I have heard so far.

I also had a little chat with Tony Hawkins at the end. Also really nice guy very astute clever individual.

I asked him about him about M&A timeframes more about how he goes about. I said generally it's 4 to 6 months for looking and closing deals. Course that's not always the case he was talking in general terms .

Columbus investors in my opinion are very fortunate in that we are invested in fantastic staff all round .

Every single member of staff had so much time to give and answer all questions honestly the good and not so good.

I also like the fact there is no internal bickering and they all get on which is also key to success so there are no man-made stumbling blocks or egos locking up progression. There isn't an ounce of that they are great team.

2. Answer: Steel drum is now Columbus one entity . Yes there were technical issues at Goudron with the sand. It made sense to report it all as one as opposed to separate figures as we are now one company. It's about growing the business production increasing output.

7. Answer: no we haven't stopped we are still working on extra Wells and to date we have about 57.

8. Answer: no , we will not be working on all of those legacy Wells . We should be working up towards 75 Wells with the rejuvenation. It wouldn't be economically viable on all of the remaining Wells.

After a long drive of 4 1/2 - 5 hrs to get there I had the pleasure of actually meeting Leo in the street as I arrived quite early.

Firstly I must say you won't meet a more humble honest genuine person such as Leo. In my opinion an exceptionally rare thing on AIM and other markets no doubt.

I must also state that my knowledge of technicalities ( as I am not from the sector) is nowhere near the likes of Edgein, Horsehead on lse and many others both here and there.

I basically interviewed Leo in the street I couldn't believe the patience that man had with me and was chatting for20 25 minutes.

He was extremely complimentary about my questions and said they were good ones.

So I asked the following questions:

1. Question: I Understand that the Goudron field certainly has been tricky even with the techniques and your equipment brought in. No way is that your fault as if you're not going to completely fix the problem I doubt there anyone is with the sand issue. So with the excellent API that is feeding Goudron from beneath would you not consider drilling down and investigating what is down there. I do remember in one of your 2017 presentations that you mentioned the feeder could be bigger than Goudron itself . ( Leo was explaining to me about the bacteria which would normally have been present near the surface etc ).

1. Answer: yes which be a good idea to investigate this in the future. We have so many great opportunities. At the moment though it makes sense to spend less money on the other licenses and get good ratios of oil out of this building up our cash and bopd.
We also have SWP deep well that is being planned.

Next year we will deepen some existing wells ( I'm sure he said Icacos, I’m open to correction on that as it was a late night and a lot of driving for me)
By deepening these Wells it will give us not only the prospect of more oil but also valuable information towards The big drill.

We have a lot of opportunities and the feeder Will be investigated in the future.

2. Question: People have been saying with some discontent that the Steeldrum integration and backdating was to mask the not as good as expected results from Goudron. So that might have made the share price drift down further.
I don't agree with it because it's good to diversify increase bopd so when Goudron has sand issues and Wells were taken off-line there will be peak and drops in production as stated in previous company statements. And as long as the BOPD increases is what counts . I then said it's equivalent of the 100m deal then if we drilled SWP ( and God forbid that it was a duster) at least we would have the 100m deal to offset.

I find this post a bit nonsensical

The company has no control over the sp so can't be blamed for that, particularly as the RNS is positive on all points.
It demonstrates a growing company with a firm foundation, that knows where it is going and any long Term Holder will be more than happy to hold for a good return on their investment in the coming year or years.

The only investors who are desperately unhappy with the present ups and downs of the CERP share price must be those who are in it in the hope of a quick profit.

This is a long term investment and should be seen as such.

I understand the points you are making but you don't mention them all
Access to the rigs we need at preferential prices and first call on them
Extra fields to exploit in the SWP
I'm sure there are others but can't bring them immediately to mind

But he didn't tell us till 8.26 this morning and look at the trades thereafter and look at the sp before 8.26 - 3.88, the same price he bought at. I think he had an influence.

It is down to who bought the 500,000 shares and many on here take what bigmj does seriously
